What an epic weekend at the 🔁

6.7km on the hour, every hour, until you can’t ☠️

We were so gutted was hit was gastro overnight and had to miss this event she had trained so hard for 😓 Her campsite was all set up, she was there in spirit! ❤️

The crew battled through very hot conditions, starting at 7am and lasting as long as they could. Unbelievable efforts from everyone. So proud.

🏃🏾 Logan: (mini BYU) 6 laps 42.2km
🏃🏻‍♀️ Shylah: (mini BYU) 6 laps 42.2km (16 years old!)

🏃🏻‍♀️Simone: 2 laps 13.2km - distance PB
🏃🏻‍♀️Alison: 9 laps, DNF on 10 - 60km
🏃🏻‍♀️Kryssi: 10 laps, DNF on 11 - 70km
🏃🏻‍♀️Sarah: 13 laps, DNF on 14 - 87.1km

And here it is…a clean sweep! 🫱🏻 5 coached athletes- 5 Personal Best times ✅

Our 4 marathoners were all back for redemption after previous Melbourne finishes. And what a day they had 🤩

⭐️Renee ~ 3.42.56
A 4 minute PB from July this year and a huge 14 minute course PB from 2024!

⭐️Kylie ~3.13.44
Snuck a 1 minute PB from her A-race at Gold Coast this year and achieved a massive 25 minute course PB from 2024! And not that she needed to prove her legendary status but also scored 5th overall in her age group! 😮‍💨

⭐️Sarah ~ 3.26.28
A massive 14 minute PB from July this year and a 16 minute course PB from 2024.

⭐️Brendan ~ 3.14.54 -including 3 bathroom stops!
A 4 minute PB.

⭐️Logan ~ 1.37.00
In only his second half marathon, he shaved an incredible 5 minutes off his debut in July!

⭐️Finally Baz, who has been holidaying around the world for the last few months, casually comes back for a taper week of training (and his only week of training 😆) to complete another marathon. Impressive!

Congratulations guys. Could not be more proud of your achievements and the hard work you all put in to make it happen 👏🏼

Debut Marathon! 🏅
Congratulations Cat on completing the very hilly Scottish on the weekend! After registering for this marathon last year (without ever having run even a half marathon 🫣) Cat committed to a 9 month training block, conquered her half marathon in July and stuck to her goal. She didn’t love marathon training by any stretch 🤣 but she ticked the boxes and got it done!

And whilst the first message afterwards was “I’m never doing that again” the following day, the finish line feels kicked in and yes we are doing another one - just without all the hills 😬🤝

It’s not too often I get brought to tears.. (ok that’s a lie 😆🥲) but today genuinely had me sobbing 😭
scott10 ran her 13th marathon and her second today.

I’ve coached Denise for every single one of her marathons over the past 12 years. This block was different. This time the marathon wasn’t a priority. It wasn’t an obsession. She didn’t have time to overthink anything (like she usually does). What this woman has endured on an emotional level this year, day after day, honestly shows her level of strength and resilience. Coupled with a very long road back from various injuries- absolutely no day was easy. You think you got stress in your life? You have no idea 🤯😢

Yet she has quietly but diligently gone about her training, ticking every box and leaving nothing unturned. Never feeling like she nailed a session, never believing she was marathon ready.

Her mindset was not one of confidence or certainty. But one of trust. Trust in me as her coach, and in herself. That she had simply done the work.

I think the most common response when I’d give her a workout or a pace in training was “😳” haha and I could only ever reply with “trust me, you got this”.

And that she did.

A 7 minute marathon PB and a 6 minute course PB from last year in Sydney. Absolutely smashed all expectations - even she can’t believe what she just did (or how she did it 😂)

What an inspiration you are Denise on so many levels. 62 years old and still crushing goals and running like you’re 20 😆

So unbelievably proud of you- always - but especially this time 🥹❤️

We are all still on a high from the weekend - and so we should be ☺️

These runners hail from all different walks of life; some absolute beginners, and some with 30 years of running behind them! Some running their very first 10km and others in their 10th year of running 42.2kms!

But regardless of experience, distance, age or anything else, everyone comes together on race day in pursuit of their own goals 🦾 After locking in hard for 12 weeks, the commitment and work was put to the test. And the results speak for themselves. Could not be more proud of every single one of my athletes 🥲☺️

✨And a special mention to this lady .jefferis who lined up for her 51st full marathon. I’ve been training Jen for 5 years and am in awe every time she pulls off yet another marathon. The lady is tough! She just gets s**t done. Unfortunately for possibly the first time, Jen withdrew from the race after 21.1km (sub 2 hours) with back spasms and a kidney infection. Don’t know how she got through what she did. Amazing effort Jen- I know how disappointed you were (and still are) but you are a true champion and an inspiration. See you back soon without a doubt ❤️‍🔥❤️‍🔥

With this all done and dusted, we are back to the grind 👊🏼 bring on the next one team ☑️🔥
