Merinda, her mum and Full Circle Director Julie are currently on an incredible adventure in India, supporting children in schools and local communities alongside others involved with an amazing organisation called The Pencil Tree
Julie has been a supporter of Pencil Tree and, after seeing how much Merinda's Mum enjoyed the experience last year, decided to book the trip herself. It was all driven by a shared passion for giving back and supporting a meaningful cause.
During their time there, they have been distributing school supplies such as books, pens, and other essentials helping to make a real difference for children who would otherwise go without. Alongside this, they’ve been immersing themselves in the rich culture of India, exploring beautiful places, and enjoying some amazing local food.
Pencil Tree began back in 2014, when it was discovered that many children were attending school without even a pencil to write with. What started as the distribution of a few pencils has since grown into something truly remarkable, including the building of an entire school.
Merinda and Julie are certainly looking forward to sharing this journey with everyone back in Australia.
