Our Director/support worker attended the accidental counsellor workshop today provided by the amazing Lifeline. It was a great workshop to brush up on skills and learn new skills about active listening, learning basic counselling skills, learning strategies for those dealing with crisis, understanding and developing foundations with clients and also most importantly self care for ourselves so we can give our best. Thank you to Lifeline, trainer Emma and all those that attended. It was all so valuable.
And thank you to Kingscliff Beach Bowls Club for providing the venue and North Coast Primary Health Network for sponsoring workshops.

Congratulations to Thomas and Tony for receiving awards for always helping out and helping others. Congratulations to Support Worker Jarane for always providing caring support and doing extra shifts with required.
You all resemble what Full Circle Support stands for 🌟 Tony also received an Eels show bag as part of our appreciation for his kindness and hardwork.

Our Director Julie has purchased 2 tickets to the Mama Kin Spender gig on Saturday 6th September at The Citadel, Murwillumbah, with the intention of gifting them to someone who would really love to go, but might not be able to afford it right now.
We know life can be tough, whether it’s financially, mentally, physically, or with health challenges.
When you are down, music really does lift the soul. 🎶

This is also to support the artists, as many musicians are struggling these days, ticket sales are down, merch isn’t selling like it used to, and streaming platforms like Spotify only pay artists about a measly $0.003 per stream.
This means artists rely heavily on us buying tickets and merch to keep going. So if you love live music, please grab your tickets early don’t leave it to the last minute, as ticket sales often decide whether shows go ahead or get cancelled.

Being a great support worker and also a provider means bringing calmness, patience, and resilience every single day. It means being kind, honest, and non-judgemental, not speaking negativity about others.
Accepting people for exactly who they are no matter their race, culture, sexuality, background, or abilities. These are not just workplace values, they’re life values, and the same ones we teach and encourage in the clients we support.

At Tweed Business Awards 2025

This morning, Director Julie and Support Worker Lorraine had the pleasure of attending the Tweed Chamber of Commerce and Industry Inc. networking breakfast, where they were inspired by two outstanding speakers.

Steven Pearce from Surf Life Saving NSW shared an engaging and eye opening presentation about the incredible work their organisation does across our state. Even Julie, who is also a firefighter, learnt about the scale and diversity of their operations.

We also heard from local sports guru Tim Jack Adams from GreenX7 who spoke with passion about mental health, leading with clarity and connection, and fostering sustainable wellbeing. Tim also generously gifted Julie a copy of his book a gesture we truly appreciate. His dedication to improving wellbeing and his contributions to our community are both inspiring and deeply valued.

We will certainly be looking into engaging Tim and the GreenX7 team to deliver wellbeing initiatives at Full Circle Support.
