The Shell Service Station at Chinderah regularly supports charities and local community groups by choosing three worthwhile causes to be a part of their Chindy Cares Giving Program.
Tweed Hospital Auxiliary has been chosen for their May/June round.
How you can help: call into Shell Service Station at Chinderah to buy your fuel or other essentials between 8th May and 3rd July, ask for some tokens to place in the container(s) of your choice – hopefully the Auxiliary’s ... and help us win 1st prize of $1500. Thank you!

Our Mother's Day Raffle was drawn yesterday at TVH by Clare Rees Act Asst DON, and the lucky winners are …..

3rd Prize – Hamper + $100 gift voucher: Robin, Ticket No. 07548

Last chance this week and next for a chance to win $1000 first prize in our Mother's Day Raffle, drawn Friday 1st May at 3pm. Tickets are still available daily at the Gift Shop Tweed Valley Hospital for $5 each. Three other great prizes as well, including a Gucci wristwatch officially valued at $2300, and 2 hampers each filled with goodies and a gift voucher.

Come into Kingscliff Shopping Village today, or next Monday to meet some of the Tweed Hospital Auxiliary members. We are here running a recruitment drive, showcasing how we raise money to buy medical equipment and other items that benefit patients and staff at Tweed Valley Hospital. We are keen to sign up new members who are willing to volunteer their time and effort to support us in our work.

Our Mothers Day Raffle starts today. Once again our fabulous first prize of $1000 is up for grabs, with 2nd prize a very valuable wristwatch. 3rd & 4th prizes are hampers filled with various goodies and gift vouchers. Tickets cost $5 and will be on sale in our Gift Shop at Tweed Valley Hospital until draw date Friday 1st May at 3pm. Tickets will also be on sale at various venues across the Tweed on the following dates in March:
6th, 9th Kingscliff Shopping Village
11th, 12th,13th Tweed Mall
18th,19th,20th South Tweed Sports Club
25th, 26th, 27th Tweed City
29th Bunnings
We will also be selling tickets in venues at Cabarita & Pottsville in April.
Profits we raise are used to buy medical equipment and hospital fittings in support of patient care and comfort at Tweed Valley Hospital. We are currently funding a 'wish list' of over $200,000 so all the support the local community can give by buying tickets is very much appreciated.

Prior to Christmas, the Auxiliary was donated some toys by a generous community member, Deb James, to be distributed to children who may be in hospital over the Christmas period. Assistant Director of Nursing, Clare Rees & Paediatric Nurse Unit Manager, Reshmi Rathi Kumari shown here were very grateful for this donation and hopefully some little people's day was made brighter on receiving them. Thanks Deb!

Tweed Hospital Auxiliary members ran the TVH staff Christmas BBQ on Thursday 18th. Even Santa and his elf popped in to lend a hand. It was a great success due to the efforts of our coordinators Jennifer, Steve and Jean and generous members who worked hard to cook and serve 750 sausages and over 500 drinks. Well done team and happy Christmas!
