I look at a lot of birthing pictures, quotes, sayings and ideas everyday. Some are awesome, some are quirky and funny, some mean well and some are just, well, I have to be honest, some just really bug me.

I love the power of positive thinking, I strongly adhere to the premise that you are what you think. I agree that it is amazing to only be surrounded by pleasant stories and pretty anecdotes….however….

What about the fairies and tigers? 🫣
What about the reality?
What about the gifts we experience that come from sharing the challenging bits?
What if we set women up to win, instead of fail?

Coz guess what? There is no perfect recipe for the perfect birth…but any birth can be empowering and incredible and profound.

You would not be the only woman to feel this way! Birth is a ‘rite of passage’, your birthing journey will test you in ways you could never imagine. But you are not alone! Generations of women have come before you, we know so much about how the physical, mental, emotional and spiritual aspects of the birthing experience affects mothers.

One of the most important discussions I’ve had with mothers and pregnant women, is being able to acknowledge any fears. Once you face them head on and explore the many options, it takes the energy out of the possibility and, believe it or not, it becomes less likely to happen!

I’ve been reading this BEAUTIFUL feminine wisdom book. Feeling into how it aligns with the ‘Rewylding - The Beauty Way’ Medicine wheel program. One of my favourite parts so far is the invitation for women to walk the beauty way, instead of the way of the warrior. One way to do this is to honour the 13 moons of the year. Either by taking 1-3 days over your moontime to BE, no screens, no books, just opening your womb space to receive messages, to create, connect and immerse yourself in all that is. And if you no longer have moon times (like me!), to align with the new or full moon every month to do the same.

At the end of 13 moons, instead of going on a Vision Quest, the feminine dives deep into a Healing Quest to rebirth her new self and sacred medicine.

I don’t know about you, but this feels DIVINE to me, and will be a sacred spiritual goal for 2026 and the year of the HORSE 🙏⚡️❤️‍🔥
