Corealign with Pieta Devine Pieta Devine offers a style of yoga to suit people that wish to take their practice to the next level. This yoga is for people that have active lifestyles and want to develop strength, vitality, health, preserve youthfulness, create wholeness, increase range of movement, become more internally and externally aware of the body and mind. This yoga practice isn't for beginners. Beginners If you are a beginner and feel passionate about developing a yoga practice, and you want to begin, I can guide you through the foundations of yoga so that you will have a very steady and strong base to start your way on the journey of the yogic path. This will be a six week foundation course, offering to you the basic postures , a guideline to the eight limbs of yoga and the basic philosophy of yoga. This will be a great way for you to begin your yoga journey so that you will develop the confidence in going forward to progress to these classes and have an understanding of the bigger picture of what yoga is about. In each of the poses you will learn your own personal alignment, the reason for doing certain poses and ways to increase the potency of each asana. I can’t stress the benefits that will come from taking this initial course . Who can do the Practice To do the practice you will need to be able to hold yourself sturdy in a plank position, be able to move freely from standing to the floor. What does it involve The practice is 1.5 hours containing all traditional asanas to benefit the body, internal organs and the mind - Standing asana - balancing - Inversions - seated - arm balances - backward bends - shoulders stands - pranayama(breath practice) - relaxation If you are active and want to develop a greater awareness of your body and begin to master the mind, this is the yoga class for you. It is challenging and requires disciple, patience and commitment for it to be transformative. Increase self confidence About me: I have been teaching yoga for 8 years and am very grateful for having taken the yogic path. I honour and treasure my body, mind and soul and I continue to practice daily the yogic way. I awake early each morning to do my daily routine of tongue scraping, removing the toxic waste accumulated on the tongue overnight, salt water nose rinse, (Netty pot), followed by 1/2 sitting or meditation, then mindful walking with my beautiful dog Bazil, giving thanks to the beauty and abundance that surrounds me, then home to my kids to enjoy breakfast and prepare for the day ahead. I am so thankful to all my teachers for the knowledge and wisdom I have received and continue to receive. I continue to be a student in Ashtanga (Dynamic)- Yoga of the breath, and I am currently doing teacher training with Simon Marrocco in Iyengar yoga which focuses on Aligning the body to enhance the natural state, to bring freedom of movement and to develop a great awareness of the organic nature of the poses, so that you can bring the internal and external body and mind to a calm relaxed state. I understand the different energies that we have. Which are conditioned by circumstances. I have the ability to create a yoga practice to enhance vitality when we are tired, lack energy or depressed, or to create a yoga practice to calm the body and mind when we are in a state of anxiety, flight or fight or burn out, to bring harmony and equanimity to the mind and body. I am passionate about the science of yoga and the transformative effects it has on a cellular level. My experience has shown the amazing and endless possibilities in yoga. What to expect? The yoga class is designed to develop strength, flexibility, cardiovascular fitness and overall vitality. The mind will gain clarity and a sense of calm, and the ability to deal with stress will be enhanced. Bringing a greater understanding and awareness to our body, mind, breath and spirt so that we can create union and a natural state of being. Namaste Privates available on request
