šŸ¤ Caregiving from afar? You can still make a real difference.
Even from a distance, simple actions like organising grocery deliveries, managing appointments, coordinating prescriptions, keeping calendars updated, tidying emails, and scheduling regular check-ins can provide meaningful support and help someone with Parkinson’s stay safe, organised, and connected.
Small, consistent efforts go a long way! šŸ’™

Happy Mother’s Day šŸ’
Today, we celebrate the strength, love and resilience of all mums — including those living with Parkinson’s, and those caring for loved ones through it.
Make a meaningful gift in honour of a mum this Mother’s Day by donating to Parkinson’s WA and helping support families impacted by Parkinson’s. Your generosity helps fund vital services, care, and support for our community.
Because every mum deserves to feel supported, today and every day šŸ’™

May is PSP Awareness Month šŸ’™
Progressive Supranuclear Palsy (PSP) s a rare, degenerative brain disorder that causes serious, progressive problems with walking, balance, eye movements, and swallowing. It is an atypical parkinsonism. It results from damage to nerve cells in brain areas controlling movement and thinking and is considered an Atypical Parkinson’s condition, and while it shares some symptoms with Parkinson’s, it can progress differently and often requires specialised support.

PSP Awareness Month is an opportunity to raise understanding, support those living with PSP, and recognise the families and carers walking this journey alongside them. Greater awareness helps ensure people affected by PSP are seen, heard, and supported.

At Parkinson’s WA, we are here to help. Our team can provide information, guidance, and support for people living with PSP, as well as their families and carers.

If you or someone you know is affected by PSP, you’re not alone - support is available.
