2 more years to go of treatment plus one of the leukaemia drug at home everyday.Doctors say is the best treatment option for Max so we avoid coming back to the brain.
Max you are such an inspiration for everyone that knows you.Your strength is admirable my boy!

Maxi's third Quemo went well today!No fever this time😊

Hi everyone!
So as many of you already know, our Max has been diagnosed with Langerhans Cell Histiocytosis (LCH)a rare cancer that begins in LCH cells.LCH cells are a type of dendritic cell which fights infection.
Max has it in his pituitary gland, in 2 bones of his skull and in the skin.
Went to many doctors the last few months looking for answers because Max was thirsty all the time and passing lots of wee too.He would wake up up 7 8 times at night asking for water and at the same time had to change his clothes completely because he was all wet.Other than this he was well,never had a fever and always happy and active boy.Mabe this was why doctors didn't think much of it and keep on saying is a habit.Also he had twice bloods and urine tests done and came back normal until I went into the emergency department and got an appointment for a depravation test for diabetes insipidus which came back positive and the cause was LCH.I created this page so everyone can follow his story and keep our family in their prayers.I will post in this group with photos and updates to show awareness.
