Supporting WA Head and Neck Cancer patients and carers with compassionate care, resources, and a strong community.

Through united and collaborative efforts, Western Australian Head & Neck Cancer Support Foundation provides support to Head & Neck Cancer patients and their carer’s, increase public education and awareness and assist in rehabilitation also providing funds for ongoing research. Western Australian Head & Neck Cancer Support Foundation (a not for profit charity) strives to serve as a one stop centre to carry on a health promotion for the provision of assistance to individuals and organisations that provides services in support of Head and Neck Cancer.

Meet Kerry, a mother, grandmother, and proud supporter of the Western Australian Head & Neck Cancer Support Foundation (WAHNCSF). Kerry has completed the walk with ease three times and intends to make this year her fourth.

What is your connection to the head and neck cancer community?
I have a dear friend who bravely fought head and neck cancer. Seeing his journey made me realize how important it is to support charities like WAHNCSF.

Why is the Walk to Get Ahead Charity Walk meaningful to you?
Each step can spark lifesaving conversations about early detection and prevention. It’s not just a walk it’s about raising awareness, supporting survivors, and showing solidarity. Inviting others helps us get closer to our goals

What piece of advice would you like to share with others?
Show your spirit. Invite friends and family. Every extra step counts in raising awareness for this often-overlooked cancer. Let’s make a difference together!
