I didn't get into nursing 39 years ago thinking I'd end up here.

But somewhere along the way, I realised that helping people feel comfortable in their own skin is still, at its core, nursing. Just with a very different set of tools.

So here I am. Still showing up. Still asking way too many questions - in the consult room and in the event spaces. Still curious about faces and anatomy.

Turns out that part never got old.

Today is Easter for me, as I was raised and practice as an Anglican.

𝗘𝗱𝘂𝗰𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝗙𝗶𝗿𝘀𝘁. 𝗔𝗹𝘄𝗮𝘆𝘀.

I look at this photo and I'm reminded why I keep showing up to these things.

Over 30 years in this field, and I'm still sitting in conference rooms, taking notes, asking questions. Not because I have to. But because this industry doesn't stand still, and neither do I.

The regulations keep shifting. The way we approach treatments keeps evolving. New research changes how we think about what we're doing and why.

What was considered best practice five years ago might look quite different today.

And honestly, that's how it should be.

I've always believed that education isn't something you finish. It's something you keep returning to.

Every conference I attend, every training I complete, every conversation I have with colleagues in this field, it all feeds back into how I work with patients.

Better knowledge.
Better technique.
Better care for the person sitting across from me.

That's the whole point.

Thanks everyone for the phone calls, visits, texts, messages, presents and cards. 57 has been amazing so far with celebrations starting on Thursday and going on all weekend.
Harriette and the family were surprised by a visit from my gorgeous brother, Shaun who flew in from Sydney to celebrate our birthdays with us at the Crown. Thanks to those that dropped in and to my family for all the spoiling.

Cosmetic Images was founded by SheriLee Knoop, a registered cosmetic nurse, whose extensive 25 years experience in performing Injectable treatments has led her to be a highly sought after teacher in Aesthetics Training for doctors and nurses to inject fillers and wrinkle relaxers both nationally and internationally.

SheriLee and her team of experienced staff and doctors have been seeing Perth men and women whose main focus is a natural, healthy, fresh face. This specialty has earned them the trust and reputation they are known for.

SheriLee has been on many advisory boards and a member of numerous faculty, also being a member of The ACCS: Australian College of Cosmetic Surgery, and a member of the Royal College of Nursing.
