✨ “We Are Energy • We Can Transform Our Body”

“Today, at InPower Counselling I want to remind you: your body is not just a vessel—it’s alive with energy, flowing with information that can be shaped, healed, and transformed.

We honour this as the mind‑body connection: energy isn’t some mystical fairy dust—it’s real. Research shows that mental and emotional patterns become stored in our muscles, fascia, posture, even breathing rhythm. By tuning into our body with gentle practices like breathwork, somatic movement, visualization, tapping, or guided imagery, we can shift those patterns and open space for healing.

When you cultivate inner energy—through mindful breathing, grounding when anxiety hits, or mailing light through your tissues—you’re actually changing the electrochemical rhythms of your nervous system. That shift restores balance, clarity, and resilience. In fact, evidence shows these mind‑body practices significantly reduce stress, boost mood, and improve emotional regulation.

💡 What does that mean practically?

Try this small exercise: place a hand on your heart, inhale for 4 seconds into the chest, pause 2 counts, exhale slowly for 6. Repeat a few rounds.

Use a power mantra: “My energy flows freely. I can reinvent how my body feels today.”

Track one small body‑based shift: notice how your shoulders unwind after a deep breath, how energy pulses in your palms after a clap, or how your hip space softens when you open it.

🌿 These are concrete ways to reclaim the agency in your body. They’re not about forcing change—but offering gentle permission to feel lighter, more present, more embodied.

My name is Samantha Strahan and I am a qualified professional counsellor. My passion lies in creating a sacred, professional space where I can facilitate healing, growth and inner abundance so that my clients can find the change they are looking for within themselves. I am committed to the wellbeing of my clients and show unconditional positive regard, empathy, and understanding. Personal experiences, academic study and the understanding and knowledge of human complexities have led me on the path of assisting others suffering from pain.

I practice Person-Centred Counselling essentially and take on some of the philosophies and techniques of Gestalt therapy, Brief therapy and CBT therapy. I love the concept of treating clients holistically to gain an overall ‘better you’. Underpinning Person-Centred Counselling – is the belief that in setting the right conditions and environment people will find the desired changes within to reach the heights of actualization.

I offer a professional, private room for your counselling experience. You will leave knowing that you can share your deepest thoughts, emotions and feelings and this space is unjudged and respected at all times. I can also tailor treatment plans to suit your current needs and goals so that you will be able to achieve your desired outcomes. This space is non-judgemental, private and confidential (within the limitations of client safety).
