Even on your hardest days, remember that your feelings are valid, your voice matters, and your presence makes a difference.

It’s okay to slow down, to rest, and to take things one step, one breath, one day at a time.

Life isn’t always easy, but you are stronger than you think, and you never have to face it alone.

Let’s continue breaking the stigma, supporting one another, and making mental health a priority every single day. 💪

Breaking the stigma around mental health is about education, empathy, and action.

We can all make a difference by learning the facts, using supportive language, and encouraging open conversations in the workplace and beyond.

When we replace judgement with understanding, people feel empowered to ask for help without fear.

Together, we can build a culture where mental health is treated with the same care and respect as physical health.

Out visiting the Macmahon crew at the Granny Smith underground operation recently and kicking off the 8-month Strong Minds, Strong Mines program.👷‍♂️💛

This isn't about slogans - it's about making room for honest conversations, challenging the stigma, and building a culture where looking out for each other is part of the job.

Sometimes support starts with something simple: noticing, asking, and actually listening.👀💬👂

Taking time on site to check in with the crews, share conversations, and really listen. These moments aren’t about ticking boxes they’re about connection, trust, and showing up. Small check‑ins can make a big difference.

We stepped away from our screens and into real conversations at Macmahon's Brisbane office - and it made all the difference! 👥✨

There's something powerful about sitting down face-to-face. Checking in. Listening. Sharing. Strengthening the connections that keep our teams resilient, both on and off site.💬

In our industry, looking after mental health isn't a side conversation - its essential. Strong relationships build trust. Trust builds support. And support builds safer, stronger workplaces.💪

Strong wellbeing is a balance of social, physical and mental health. In mining, it’s easy for one side to dominate. Long shifts strain the body, remote rosters strain relationships, and pressure strains the mind.

✅ Pick one small action today to rebalance: message a mate, take a 5‑minute stretch and water break, or write down tomorrow’s plan to ease mental load. Tiny steps compound into safer decisions and steadier performance.

Unsure where to start? Try the SMSM Wellbeing Triangle to spot your strongest side and the side that needs care.

Feeling overwhelmed by the nonstop pace of life?

What if just a few mindful minutes each day could help you regain calm, focus, and clarity? In the rush of daily life, it’s easy to get caught up in stress and distractions. Practicing mindfulness helps us pause, breathe, and stay present in the moment.

By taking a few minutes each day to observe our thoughts and feelings without judgment, we can reduce stress, improve focus, and build emotional resilience. Mindfulness isn’t about escaping life, it’s about fully experiencing it with clarity and calm.

Taking care of your mental health is just as important as taking care of your body.💙

Sometimes life can feel overwhelming, and it’s okay to ask for help. Listening to yourself, practicing self-care, and seeking support from friends, family, or professionals can make a huge difference. Every small step counts toward building resilience and wellbeing.

Remember, you are not alone.

We all move along the wellbeing continuum from excelling and thriving to coping, struggling or sinking. That movement is normal. The key is noticing early and acting sooner.

🤔 Consider: If sleep dips, focus fades or irritability rises, pause and reset before addressing critical tasks.

Leaders can help by normalising check‑ins: ask, “What could get in our way today?” and listen for fatigue, resource gaps and stressors. Early conversations reduce incidents.

Use the colour bands 🌈 in the SMSM continuum to frame where you’re at this week and the next step forward.
