National Pyjama Day (officially held on Friday 19 July, 2024) is all about wearing your favourite pair of PJ's to help The Pyjama Foundation raise much-needed awareness and funds for children
in foster care.

With the money raised from National Pyjama Day, you’ll be helping us offer learning skills to more than 1000 children, fund educational resources and help provide stable, positive relationships.

We celebrated pyjama day in cozy style today, and raised $2,904

Well done to our best dressed, Natalie and to our best fundraiser, Sarskia.

Our NDIS team had a great morning at the NDIS Reform Community catchup today at the Parmelia Hilton Perth.

Great to hear from Minister Bill Shorten and CEO Rebecca Faulkingham about the reforms and what they mean for us.

Some of the take aways we are excited about are;
🌼Alignignment of people with a disability with relative supports.
🌼Traction with the early intervention team.
🌼Increasing First Nation representation in the scheme.
🌼Continued work on the PACE system.

The work we do with people with a disability is important, this morning was a reminder of that!

National cancer statistics🤔

📍It is estimated that over 1million Australians are currently living with cancer.
📍Projections for new cancer diagnoses between 2020 and 2024 is 4.56million.
📍70% of people will usually survive 5years after a cancer diagnosis.
📍By 2040, it is expected that 1.9million Australians will be living with, or beyond cancer.

Blue Cove Group support the Cancer Council and hosted our Biggest Morning Tea today to help fund research ,prevention and support services for those affected by cancer.

🏅Team Day🏅

It was game time when the team took to Karrinyup for our quarterly team development session. Competition was stiff and victory sweet. Congratulations to the Tangled Titans for taking the trophy home🎉

Some great teamwork strategies learnt were;
🌟A good strategy is thought out before ex*****on. Think.
🌟Communication is the key to effective contribution. Communicate.
🌟Everyone has their strength which is crucial to success. Give opportunity.
🌟If you can’t work it out, another team member possibly can. Ask.
🌟Everyone is doing their best individually, but team victory is sweeter. Teamwork wins!
