The Minister for the NDIS, Mark Butler, has announced a new $2 billion program called Thriving Kids.

This program is part of the government’s plan to offer more foundational supports and is aimed at children who are not eligible for the NDIS. Thriving Kids will run across the country with support from state governments. It will be available through schools, community centres, Medicare with new bulk-billed items, and an online hub for families.

The program is set to begin on 1 July 2026. Right now, the government is still working out how it will connect with the NDIS and how it will be delivered.

More details will be shared as they become available, we will keep you updated.

The NDIS has extended Early Childhood Approach support to include children up to 9 years old, with the change being gradually rolled out over the past two years.

This update provides more children with access to early intervention services, giving them the support they need to thrive during a critical stage of development.

Just letting our clients aged 5-18 know about this State government initiative to access sport.

Do you have a Health Care Card or Pensioner Concession Card for your child? KidSport helps eligible children aged 5-18 years with a concession card to cover the cost of club fees or swimming lessons.
