My own orthopaedic patient at home. The high-backed chair was delivered today from RPH. I thought Herbert would need this for discharge, as he needs to keep his knees below hip height to prevent dislocating the hip, which can be challenging on a low couch at his height. Let’s see if he uses it as he’s progressing well and ditched the crutches indoors😊

Found a new way to commemorate ANZAC Day with the River Run . The Last Post was played and a minute’s silence before we took off for an 8km run.

I talk with my clients about the importance of having a routine that supports returning to work. Admittedly my own routine needs some tweaking. I’m happy to say that Park Run is now a fixture in my Saturday routine and a non-negotiable 😊

Adapt Life is privileged to sponsor Manning Knight Riders, the cycling group that has helped my husband Herbert turn his health around. In around 5 years he has lost 30kgs, increased cardiovascular fitness, reduced other health risk factors and anecdotally he is a happier and calmer person. Not to mention all the friends he has made in the local and cycling community.

Congratulations on your longest ride ever in one day of 245kms to complete the annual 5 pubs ride!

Thank you to Julie from Wabi Sabi Marshmallows for introducing me to District 32, a local networking group. It has really pushed me out of my comfort zone to learn how to pitch my business and improve my confidence when meeting other business owners, outside of the workplace rehabilitation industry. Scotty is in my networking group and is a great guy. His company, Better Office Supplies has generously donated office supplies to the charity Give Write which supplies stationery to children.

BOS has competitive prices for electric sit/stand units for my OT/safety friends! I’m looking forward to ordering one for my office soon😀
