At Canvas we offer both Platelet Rich Plasma (PRP) and Platelet Rich Fibrin (PRF) treatments using the world’s proven number one PRP system T-Lab.

What is the difference between PRP and PRF?

Both are autologous treatments, meaning we draw and use your own blood to create either the PRP or PRF. Both are valuable and are each chosen for different reasons over the other.

Once your blood has been taken, the vials are then placed into the centrifuge and set to spin with very particular parameters.
After several minutes we remove the vials and note that the blood has now separated into 2 different colours. The red cells remain at the bottom and either the PRP or PRF is yellow in colour and sits at the top.
This is then carefully extracted ready to be injected in tiny aliquots to the treatment area or microneedled into the skin.

PRP contains a high concentration of platelets and growth factors which are cells that play a crucial role in tissue regeneration and, when injected, stimulates a hyper active cell regeneration and healing.

PRF is often considered an advancement over PRP, offering a more natural and sustained release of growth factors due to its fibrin matrix.
PRF contains an often denser concentration of platelets and growth factors and tends to work over a longer period of time than PRP.

The importance of a skin consultation

Feeling honoured !

After receiving the State Nursing Service Medal a couple of years ago, I was recently given the great honour of receiving the
National Service Medal Award for Contribution to Nursing.

I’ve worked in many different fields, in different countries before finally taking the leap and opening my own business.
Truly a privilege to serve as a nurse in any capacity but I think I feel the most fulfilled in my current role.
