Starhill is excited to welcome Dr Kui Feng Low to our team, she is available on Tuesdays and Fridays.

Dr Kui Feng Low is a highly skilled and experienced General Practitioner, known for her warm, approachable nature and genuine commitment to providing patient-centred care.

With years of experience across all areas of general practice, she offers personalised, evidence-based care to individuals and families at every stage of life.

Dr Low has particular expertise in women’s health, including contraception and menopause management, as well as chronic disease care, such as diabetes, high blood pressure, and obesity.

She is especially passionate about lifestyle and weight management, and works closely with patients to support long-term, meaningful improvements in their health and wellbeing.
She offers a full range of contraception services, including counselling and in-clinic procedures such as Implanon and Mirena insertions.

Her gentle and informative approach helps patients feel
empowered to make choices that suit their individual needs.
Dr Low also welcomes patients of all ages and backgrounds. She provides care for children, men’s health consultations, general health checks, and driver medical assessments.

She places strong emphasis on preventive health and early detection, offering comprehensive health assessments, cervical screening tests, breast checks, cardiovascular risk assessments, immunisations for all ages, and lifestyle-based screening for chronic conditions.

A notice to our valued patients

This message is to notify that starting 5th September 2023, Starhill Medical Centre will become a mixed billing practice.

After much consideration, we have decided to stop bulk billing on certain visits.

This is because the operational cost of running our practice has been steadily increasing especially in recent times for medical supplies, staff wages, insurance, equipment etc. Though the Medicare subsidy has increased, it’s still well below the Consumer Price Index over the last several years. As a result, we are left with no choice other than to introduce “mixed billing”. This means aside from the circumstances mentioned below, there will be a gap fee applicable.

We will continue to bulk bill patients 16 years and under, anyone with a valid Concession / Health Care Card / Pension Card and DVA card holders

We have decided a minimal fee for our standard consults as below for those not eligible for bulk billing as mentioned above.

Standard Consultation Cost : $65.00 (Out of pocket: Only $23.80)
Long Consultation Cost: $120.00 (Out of pocket: Only $40.30)

What causes irritable bowel syndrome?

While the exact cause of IBS is not clear, certain things are known to trigger symptoms in people who tend to experience IBS. Some common IBS triggers include diet, stress, infection and medications.

Many people with IBS notice that some foods make their symptoms worse, but these 'trigger foods' differ from one person to the next.
