We read Wombat Stew today and brought the characters to life with spoon puppets! 🐸🦘

Each animal was pegged to a spoon, ready to jump into the story as we read. The kids loved joining in, holding up their “character” when it appeared in the book. 📖💡

We used our marble run 🟡🟢🔵 to practice:
🌀 Trying out different paths for the marble
🔄 Changing our plan when the first idea didn’t work
💡 Thinking of more than one solution to reach the goal

In today’s session we kicked off with a favourite theme — football! We used player names as our salient targets to get loads of natural practice with the tricky /r/ sound.

💬 Saying names like “Curnow,” “Cripps,” or “Carlton” gave us motivation AND repetition.

When therapy is tied to what kids love, it doesn’t feel like “work” — it feels like play (with sneaky speech gains along the way 😉).
