Today I had the privilege of heading over to King Barrel Racing Clinics and lessons to treat some incredible equine athletes what a cool team of horses 🐎

One of the best parts of what I do is the chance to connect share and network with others in the horse community it’s always awesome to chat exchange experiences and knowledge and it’s inspiring to see just how far that ripple effect can reach creating such a positive impact for our horses 😍

Yarnie I hope you enjoyed our time together as much as I did and of course the horses too 🔥

Flow into Motion Remedial Massage 💆‍♀️

Looking after our own bodies is just as important as the care we give our horses 🐎

I really enjoyed my remedial massage today it made such a difference after the consistent workload of treating so many equine clients my body starts to feel it to 😆

I’m grateful to have my own incredibly knowledgeable therapist supporting me and my body so I can feel my best and continue helping your horses feel theirs 🐎

Finding balance sometimes can be hard and occasionally we do tend to overdo it listening to your body is very important also what is your body telling you ? ✨

Back to it tomorrow as I head south for some wonderful regular clients and also to share some space with some new clients which I’m very excited about 🥰

What a day 😮‍💨

That’s a wrap for woodridge today with a jammmmm packed day of incredible horses 🐎🐎🐎🐎

Then it was the mad dash home this afternoon to sort my own lot out before getting myself ready to head out to see the incredible Wendy Winn in clinic tonight 🔥

It’s going to be an amazing night with so many other horse people sharing alongside one of the best in the business all the way from America 👌

A quick stop over for a red bull may be needed but I am beyond pumped for tonight I’m sure I’ll see many of you there also 🐎

Frankie 🦄

This stunning little c**t had his very first introduction to bodywork yesterday and he really settled into it and finished on such a positive note 🙌

With him soon heading off to be started under saddle it was the perfect time for a check over to support his body as he begins this exciting new chapter in his ridden career 🐎

Going from not carrying anyone to learning to understand and accept a rider is a huge change for any horse and that’s why introducing bodywork at this stage is so valuable it helps their body adapt while we support growth muscle development comfort balance and freer flowing movement as they adjust to the changes their body goes through along the way 🤩

This c**t is certainly one with a very bright future I am so excited for him and his owners incredible journey ahead 🔥

Yoga 🧘‍♀️

Balancing selfcare and building strength within our own bodies can have such a powerful and direct impact on our horses as riders 🐎

The way we carry ourselves our balance and our range of motion all influence how our horse moves beneath us and that’s powerful 💪

When we look after our physical and mental well being we don’t just improve our own quality of life we also reduce unnecessary strain on our horses and create clearer communication in the saddle because having more balance and range of motion through our own bodies definitely transfers to our Horse 🤌

I’ve recently introduced yoga Into my own routine alongside some wonderful horsey friends with a wonderful instructor and therapist herself over at Flow into Motion Remedial Massage and the difference has been incredible even in just a short time I’ve noticed greater mobility and openness in my hips not only do I get to hang out better my body and laugh and connect with some wonderful ladies my body and horses get some incredible benefits 🔥

From a biomechanical perspective having struggled through my hips in the past I certainly feel softer and more open within my body and our hips are essential for allowing the pelvis to move freely which in turn improves our seat stability and the way we follow our horse’s motion and that’s important this freedom supports the horse’s back and encourages them to move with more ease and relaxation 🙌

Prioritising our own strength growth and self care is one of the most impactful ways we can give back to our horses 🫶

I am also very excited to be getting my treatment and we all know how many wonderful benefits that has for ourselves and our horses so if you are in need of a good therapist for your own body be sure to head over to flow in motion and check it out 👌

Learning and growth is key 🔑

One of the key factors for me as a therapist is understanding how tension connects throughout our horses body along with the impacts and restrictions it creates and how these connections influence movement 🐎

So often it’s these subtle links that hold the biggest keys to breaking old or restrictive movement patterns that can keep our horses stuck in things like their movement their strength building and even their training 🐎

That’s why I believe investing in our own learning both within and outside the scope of bodywork is such an important part of our growth as horse owners because every bit of knowledge we gain helps us better support the horse in front of us and our journey with them 💪

As a horse owner what’s something you do to continue growing your knowledge and understanding of horses as a whole? 🤩

I find podcasting a fantastic tool Inbetween seeing you guys from one appointment to the next. I really enjoy using that time to add a little bit more information that helps me better help all horses what’s your go to ? 🙌
