Meanwhile my girls decided this morning was the perfect opportunity to demonstrate their best moves when I let them out the bucks zoomies and acrobatics were in full swing and honestly they had me questioning how something so big can be so nimble 🤣🫠

Weekend vibes with our horses just hits different 🐎

No pressure no expectations just good company fresh air and time spent doing what we love most 🤍

Sometimes the best thing for both horse and rider is to step away from the chaos slow down and simply enjoy the partnership we work so hard to build. Whether it’s competing hitting the trails training at home or just sitting in the paddock together these moments matter more than people realise.

Our horses don’t care about the ribbons the results or the opinions around us they care about connection consistency and how we make them feel 🙌

So here’s your reminder to soak up the little moments this weekend laugh a little louder breathe a little deeper and enjoy your horse for everything they are ☀️

Because at the end of the day this journey is supposed to be enjoyed ✨

Today ✨

Being able to share a space such as this what an incredible privilege bringing someone along to share learn and grow with who is so passionate and invested was an absolute breath of fresh air I am so genuinely excited not just for her but the horse community also ✨

When I started this journey I was lucky enough to have an incredible mentor outside of my equestricare studies with the most supportive and encouraging bodyworker Jemma moon well known for her success in the industry and for me that was a privilege and a complete game changer 🙏

So when I was chatting with one of equestricares students an extremely knowledgeable horsewoman Shannon langridge it was a no brainer for me to have her along to do some exposure and learning today and it wasn’t just about me teaching her because when we are open to sharing we all gain from each other and that’s something pretty special 🫶

I absolutely love women empowering women because supporting each other does wonders especially in the horse industry 💪

Shannon it was an absolute pleasure to share space with you today and I look forward to the next time 🤍

I often get asked about all the tools gadgets and machines used within the equine industry 🐎

What I have used and used to use was a combination of hand tool red light PEMF and cyclonic massage in our time together throughout our appointments and there is reasoning behind why I scaled it back to MY HANDS along time ago now while sometimes bringing out my hand tools 🙌

There is no denying that there are some incredible modalities out there today from red light therapy and PEMF through to massage systems vibration therapy and recovery tools. Many of them absolutely have a place and can be a fantastic addition to a horse’s overall management and care with some incredible results 💪

But one thing I will always stand by is that no machine can replace educated hands and educated feel and we must always keep in mind I cannot do what some of those machines do and vice versa 🙏

Machines are designed to do a job. They follow settings programs and functions they were built for but they cannot feel what is happening beneath the surface the way experienced hands can. They cannot interpret tension subtle changes within tissue guarding patterns sensitivity compensation or the way a horse responds moment by moment throughout a session they are not designed to genuinely read your horse the way a trained therapist can 🤗

Hands bring feel understanding intuition assessment and years of experience to the table in a lot of cases.They allow us to adapt in real time to what the horse is presenting with on that day not just apply a generic setting and hope for the best. That is something no machine can truly replicate 🐎

Over the years I have actually stepped away from offering a lot of the tools and machines I once used within my own sessions. Not because they don’t work or don’t have value because many absolutely do but because more and more of these things are now easily accessible for owners to purchase and use themselves at home on a much regular bases 🤗

What isn’t easily accessible to so many outside of bookings is skilled hands educated feel and the ability to understand what the horse’s body is communicating through movement muscle tone restriction release and response 👏

The equine bodywork industry is filled with many different modalities approaches and opinions and there is room for all of them. Every practitioner brings their own training techniques mentors backgrounds education and experiences to the table. But for me personally I will always believe there is something incredibly powerful about hands-on work and the connection that comes with truly feeling and understanding the horse in front of you

At the end of the day machines can support the process but they cannot replace the knowledge feel and experience behind the hands using them or what power the educated hands have in a treatment session 💪

This is not a bash on any equipment as it is each to their own this is just a post for sharing purposes around why I don’t use my machine and offer my PEMF or red light and other things in my sessions anymore by my own experience as I have progressed as the therapist I am today 🙏

We all most certainly evolve along the way and also remember if any of these things outside of my hands are something you are wanting I can always help point you in the right direction we all support each other in this industry and results speak for themselves 😘

It’s all about the beautiful weather and beautiful horses today 🐎

Another great morning in Bullsbrook 🙌

I really love seeing so much progress for so many of you and I hope you all have a wonderful weekend 🫶

Myself and my girl river are off for the weekend to enjoy some cracking company and incredible horses as we create some more wonderful memories together 🤌

This morning was a total vibe 🔥

I spent the morning with this incredible athlete retro and his wonderful owner Veronica the face behind Apex Barrel Racing and the fantastic new app the barrel racing hub 👌

We are so lucky to have such incredible content at our fingertips here not just for barrel racers but the educational side behind it all is pretty cool 😎

I had a great time treating retro and chatting about all things horses it was really nice 🤗

Today I am in bakers hill and toodyay and first up was young ivy’s pony this morning she is always there to help out and get involved with what we are doing with the horses 🦄

Meet Olivia and dreamer a team that I have been so fond of for so very long 😘

This incredible team has been apart of the Equitouch journey from the very start all that time ago 🤗

The first time I treated this horse was along side Jemma moon back when I joined her for some experience outside of my studies and we have been apart of each other’s routines every since 😆

It’s been a little bit of a process along the way and here they are only the other day in the reining pen showing off all their hard work and dedication 🤌

I can’t tell you all just how amazing these guys are doing to see them completely blossom over the years has been just so wonderful and inspiring GO TEAM 👏

Me and my girl river

After taking a big break from competing (6 months) with my girl we stepped back out over the past couple of weekends into the most encouraging environment and safe to say both myself and my horse had the best time and she felt good 🤭

We travelled down to Boddington to step into the arena and compete in the Diamonds 2 Dust Barrel Racing Inc. series and the following weekend with Apex Barrel Racing for the shootout and those ladies didn’t disappoint they sure do run a good event thank you for all the laughs and pep talks 🔥

Like many of you me and my horse have our struggles with soreness and lameness and knowing when it’s time for a good break and as always I listened to my horse and it has done us the world of good 👌

We took our time coming back into work and then went out and just had fun without the pressure and it has been the best thing for us both 🐎

Just like so many others I also have moments of struggling to find balance between treating horses travelling riding and all the other things but it finally feels like it’s coming together and that makes me very excited 🙏

It’s a privilege to be tired from putting in the work and the things you always wanted in life right 😆
