πŸ›οΈ If you've ever wondered what happens to hospital beds when wards get redeveloped - keep reading πŸ“–

πŸ₯ Following the commencement of redevelopment works, Mount Hospital have donated 42 beds and over bed tables to Rotary Australia World Community Service (RAWCS).

🌍 RAWCS runs a program called the Rotary Australia Repurposing Equipment (RARE) which supports the donation of medical equipment to disadvantaged overseas communities.

πŸ‘· The donation was a team effort with ADCO the builders we've partnered with on our redevelopment works, pitching in to provide the labour and transport to transfer the beds to RAWCS.

Patient and staff safety is our top priority and we have recently made some changes to our visitor policy.

In line with yesterday’s announcement by WA Chief Health Officer about the relaxation of visitor restrictions, effective Sunday 6th March, we will now be welcoming one nominated visitor per patient to Mount Hospital between the hours of 5pm-7pm daily.

Visitors must;

- Be aged 16 years and over and show evidence of double dose COVID-19 vaccination on arrival.

- Wear a surgical mask at all times. Surgical masks are available at our screening point - please ask our friendly staff should you need to change out of a cloth mask.

- Check in via the ServiceWA app.

- Provide evidence of a recent negative RAT or PCR test if visiting a patient in a high risk area.

We appreciate these restrictions may be upsetting for some and we thank you for your understanding as we support WA’s COVID-19 response.
