Did you know… everything surrounding your house impacts your Feng Shui? Energy from the environment comes from natural landscapes and man-made structures. Additionally, your immediate environment, such as your garden, also impacts your Feng Shui.

Optimum garden Feng Shui suggests keeping it vibrant and well-maintained… plant lush plants… add trees where possible… cut back overgrown trees… get rid of weeds and dead leaves.

Just add salt! Sprinkling rock salt at your front door is an old folklore said to be a protective measure to ward off any negative energy or unwanted influences.

It is often used in spiritual practices for cleansing and enhancing the energy of a space. It is advised to be done on the first Friday of every month.

Are your rooms too yang? Yang rooms are rooms that are exposed to natural daily sunlight, or where there is always a lot of constant movement and loud noise.

To help bring yin into the equation: if possible, do not turn lights on, try to use the room for a ‘still’ activity such as reading, try adding some dark colouring.

When something is alive, such as a plant, it emits yang energy. If it then dies, it turns into yin energy. This is not the yin energy you want in your home. It’s best to throw the plant out immediately.

So, what is good yin energy? Good yin energy is something in its natural yin form. For example: the colour black, silence, and stillness. These are the yin vibes that your home requires to balance out yang energy.

Did you know…. A Black Tourmaline crystal is ideal placed at your home’s front entrance?! This is due to its powerful protection properties.

Black Tourmaline is said to absorb and or repel negative energies. It creates a shield that helps prevent negative energy from entering your home. It also has grounding properties, assisting with being overwhelmed or unbalanced. It helps promote feelings of safety, stability and security.

Edit: This photo is of my crystal that appears to be Black Obsidian. Regardless, both have protective qualities and can help you!

“Just keep swimming, just keep swimming”… Remember Dory in the movie ‘Finding Nemo’ kept on singing this?! While Dory is believed to be singing this in a bid to stay positive and keep moving forward, she was enacting abundance!

Fish in Feng Shui are symbolic of wealth and prosperity. Their constant movement in water, which also represents money, is a dynamic energy activator for abundance.

Goldfish or koi fish are the most popular in Feng Shui. Having an aquarium placed in the South East section, if possible, helps attract this energy into your life. This is because the South East represents wealth and prosperity.

Things also worked out for Dory 😊
