There is changes to the

We’re introducing changes to help participants more easily manage their budgets.

If you’re starting a new NDIS plan or going through a reassessment, your plan will now usually have three-month funding periods.

Funding periods define when your plan’s funds will become available to use. These new three-month funding periods will help:

✔️ reduce the risk of running out of funds early

✔️ ensure supports are available when they are needed.

This approach is similar to the way people receive salaries or other government payments.

The change will be rolled out gradually, with participants only impacted when they receive a new or reassessed plan.

Funding periods will generally be spread evenly across the plan.

This change will not affect the total amount of funding in a participant’s plan, only when the funding becomes available.

Assisting Participants with Federal Election Voting.

As a support worker, your role is to assist participants to access their right to vote; not to influence their decisions. This guide outlines how to provide respectful, inclusive, and empowering support during the upcoming federal election.

Here's some quick Do’s and Don’t’s

DO:
Support them to understand the voting process.
Provide physical or communication help if asked
Stay neutral and respectful.
Encourage independence where possible.

DON’T:
Tell them who to vote for.
Rush them through the process.
Make assumptions about what they want.

Sat (fortnightly): 9 AM–3 PM
Additional fill-in shifts available

📍 High Wycombe
Mon & Thurs: 9–11 AM

📍 Koondoola
Wed: 8 AM–1 PM
