Heavenly Ride Funerals – Glen’s Final Ride

Today, Heavenly Ride Funerals, proudly owned and operated by Silkwood Funerals, had the honour of riding alongside Glen on his final journey.

The cortege departed from the family home, and as we rode into the breeze with soft droplets of rain falling like gentle tears from above we made our way to Karrakatta Cemetery. Lining the driveway were family and friends, standing quietly in respect and love, creating a powerful tribute to a young life taken far too soon.

As we reached the cemetery gates, Glen’s beloved partner Jo joined me on the bike to accompany him one last time to the chapel. Surrounded by those who cherished him, we paused to reflect on a life lived with intensity, passion, and purpose.

Though his time here was short, Glen truly lived. It was our privilege to carry him on this final ride.

“Riding Free – Just the Way He Wanted”

Today, we honoured a true original — a man who lived life full throttle, with Collingwood in his heart and a Harley beneath him. He couldn’t have been happier in his custom Collingwood coffin, surrounded by matching black and white blooms, and placed lovingly on his favourite Harley-Davidson for one final, unforgettable ride.

Silkwood Funerals, proud owners of Heavenly Rides, were privileged to carry him on his last journey, as the roar of the bike echoed the life he lived — bold, proud, and free.

As his family clapped and waved goodbye, there was no doubt he was riding high, free from pain, and heading toward the horizon with the wind at his back.
