The power of the pause is that it’s the key to calm.
When we breathe fully into our diaphragm (aka belly breathing), we activate our parasympathetic nervous system-the rest/digest response, settling our nerves & soothing our mind’s fluctuations.
When we practice the pause in between the breath, we create/strengthen neural pathways in holding the space between action & reaction.
This simple practice becomes a powerful technique for managing daily stresses & maintaining our overall equilibrium.
