Reception Volunteers Wanted!

Our kangaroo keeps answering the phone with “boing” and frankly, it’s confusing people. The galahs are no better—they just yell “HELLOOOO?!” into the handset and then laugh at their own jokes. It’s chaos. We need a human with thumbs (and a better vocabulary) to run reception.

Your vital mission (should you accept):

• Answer phones without chewing on the handset (possum problem, long story).
• Greet visitors while galahs loudly debate whether you did your hair properly.
• Pretend you didn’t just see a quenda dart under the filing cabinet.

Perks:

• Free daily comedy from galahs, who are basically pink feathered stand-up comics (warning: heckling is included).
• Free cardio from chasing quendas out of the stationery cupboard.
• Bragging rights that your coworkers include lizards, quendas, and one very suspicious echidna.
• Training provided (no experience needed—if a kangaroo thinks it can do this job, you definitely can).
• The satisfaction of knowing you’re better at reception than a kangaroo (low bar, but still).

Available shifts:

• Monday to Sunday
• AM shift: 8:30am – 1:30pm
• PM shift: 1:00pm – 6:00pm

Location: Martin (near Gosnells)

⚠️ You must be over 16 years of age to apply.

Email: Orientations@darlingRangeWildlife.com.au for more details.

So, if you’ve got thumbs, good phone etiquette, patience, and a sense of humor, apply today — before the galahs start prank-calling Centrelink again.
