It’s about health and longevity, it’s not luck it’s strategy!
I’m asked all the time from clients and even friends how to maintain the same weight and stay lean, all while getting to eat so much and the truth is, I don’t maintain the same weight all the time and that’s the whole point.
By strategically gaining weight and building muscle with increased calories, more strength training and less cardio for a period of time, I can easily drop weight and fat with a slight calorie deficit when I need to. The difference is my calorie deficit never comes from deprivation and eating less, it comes from moving more and I don’t need to move much more to achieve this either, that’s the beauty of high muscle mass…. it’s science, it’s metabolic conditioning. It’s training smart and eating smart not flogging yourself to stay small.
Recently I was forced to have two weeks off training and going to the gym. Instead of thinking along the lines of “I better eat less” like most people, I made a choice to eat more because I know that when I start training for Hyrox next week I’ll be starting strong, I’ll be starting fuelled and my body will reap the rewards of the nourishment.
It’s strategic, it’s mindset, it’s about health, it’s about choices, it’s about education.
Everyone has different needs, everyone needs a different strategy we don’t start from the same baseline! This is why you won’t find me flogging quick fixes or low calorie diets in a bid to make a buck. I’m proud of the passion and integrity I hold with my business and my clients.
