Treehouse Bodywork offers:
- Chi Nei Tsang (taoist abdominal massage) - restoring flow of energy and circulation by releasing blocks in fascia, organs and muscles.
- Shamanic healing - removing what does not belong in the client's energy body (extraction healing) and returning what does (power soul portion retrieval and power animal retrieval) so that the client is integrated and filled with thei

r own power.
- Nature Connection
- Mentoring in Nature (see my main website www.clairevanderplank.com/services)

A bit more about Claire:
Claire has a Bachelor degree in Occupational Therapy and Post-Graduate Certificate in Health Promotion. She left the traditional 'health' fields several years ago, not really feeling like this was how she was meant to contribute to the world. She moved into sustainability and eventually merged that with the spiritual path and now offers modern vision quests and spirituality in nature programs - see Way of Nature WA www.facebook.com/wayofnaturewa/. The Way of Nature work opened for me a new appreciation for the value of individual healing by seeing how it is linked through relationship to the rest of life. The ethos of Treehouse Bodywork is very much grounded in the realisation that true healing is healing for all of life, and enhances how we show up in the world. Her training is with:

I hope everyone is having a lovely festive season!
Should you need an extra dose of relaxation and letting go (to balance all the partying and family time 😉), I've uploaded a Body Scan with Nature guided practice to Youtube.
https://youtu.be/aPw_H3iq5hI?si=XDJ9W3HX7rcnUPJK

It's designed to be done in nature and a bit different to progressive body scans you may have done before, like Yoga Nidra. In this one we consciously incorporate the energies of nature.

Give it a go and let me know how it goes for you! 🌿🪷

PS Yes I am here and open over the holiday season🙏

The May Nature Quest wrapped up a couple of weeks ago (before the heavy rain hit, lucky them!).

It was a full complement of 6 questers, who really got to the 'heart' of the matter. Quite literally, in that the main theme that emerged was love, self-love, healing heart wounds from early life. And addressing those wounds by getting to the heart of that stuck and blocked feeling and fully embracing it with love; embracing the inner child with full awareness, presence, acceptance, and love.

It really is simple. The story doesn't matter. It's the full acceptance that can only come having the sensitivity and courage to truly feel what is in one's heart, and be, with all our being, in that place. There's something so magical about the quest and being alone with no distractions for four days; a magic that comes from stripping things down to their most simple and becoming aware of what is right in front of us. Thoughts become tiresome, and the energy it takes to maintain a story starts to feel pointless. So we’re left in a state of noticing and accepting what it is.

We can get to the heart of the matter, not in thought, but in feeling.

And that’s where transformation comes from.

Well done questers 👏👏👏
💚💚💚💚💚

PS Registration for the next Quest, September 7-15, is now open. Interest has been strong already so if you have been thinking about it, get in touch.

📣 PSA I’ll be away for the upcoming Nature Quest May 18-26 so not available for bookings during that time 🌿

The focus this week is Heart. Which is both a consequence of the unfolding of the development of presence and relaxation (the focus of the last 2 weeks) as we tune our awareness to nature, and also something that we focus on in our meditation practice to deepen our felt sense of connection and develop our awareness in a well-rounded way 🧡

The focus for this week’s meditation in nature session is focus & presence, possibly the principle most commonly associated with meditation 🌞
This module is all about allowing your attention and awareness to sink deeper and deeper into the present moment. In nature, this is very much about using our senses as the doorway, and we can discover a lot of beauty and wonder along the path.

If you would like to join us in Boo park this week, register (free) via the link in the event page! 🌿

Happy Easter everyone!
If you don’t happen to be away this weekend and want to give yourself some tlc, I still have spaces available on Monday ☺️

This week's meditation in nature session is all about relaxation ☺️
Before spending intentional time in nature, I had no idea what feeling really, deeply relaxed could be like.
The significance of which is not just a pleasant feeling, but changes the whole experience of life and the sensemaking that goes along with it, as well as incredible benefits to physical and mental wellbeing.
Meditation with nature for relaxation utilises the supportive qualities of nature (that mountains of research show engenders relaxation) combined with intention and of course particular techniques to help our whole being get nice and loose, open, expansive and receptive 🪷🌿✨

I posted this on my other page, Way of Nature, but realised that it is relevant to bodywork. The more we open up to our sensuous, animal bodies the more we open to the magic of this world ✨

I am not into the kind of spirituality that sees matter and spirit as existing separately. The kind that says, 'you are not your body.' The 'up and out' mentality that says you leave this world, and just here for a visit.

There are aspects of reality that we don't ordinarily perceive, but they are here.

If we fail to see the material world as sacred we treat it as less than.

The magic of spirit is present in this world, waiting to be discovered ✨🪷

Happy solstice everyone!

Today, December 22, at 11.27am AWST is the Summer Solstice; the time when the earth tilt is at its zenith, exposing the southern hemisphere to the sun maximally, creating the longest day of the year.

On a personal level, the photons we receive from sunlight are incredibly important to daily health, regulating our circadian rhythms. We also have a circannual (yearly) rhythm which is dictated by the information we receive from light in our environment; i.e. our bodies sense the time of year through the amount and quality of sunlight, and this regulates our endocrine system.

On a macro level, for the thriving of Earth into the future, and the viability of humankind as part of her, it is essential that we embody the patterns of nature (and we are an expression of nature) once again. Solstices were traditionally a time for ceremony. Even a simple meditative ritual, allowing awareness to settle on this turning point can help weave us back into the web of life in a small way.

Did you know that up to half a humans lymph nodes are located in the abdomen?

The lymphatic system is an essential part of our immune, circulatory and metabolic systems. Lymph nodes do not have their own musculature to push things through so they rely on pressure changes in the surrounding tissue to keep their contents moving.

The diaphragm is located at the top of the abdominal cavity and plays a crucial role in providing pressure changes to flush the lymph - i.e. unrestricted breathing, the kind that moves the belly, is essential to healthy function of those lymph nodes, as well as the organs in the belly.

Abdominal massage can help this along in 2 ways:
1. Applying external pressure to help clear the lymph
2. Unlocking restricted breathing so that the client maintains normal, healthy breathing and belly pressure changes after the session

Hello 👋
It has been a while since I have done a welcome post, so for those who are new here... welcome!!
I'm Claire, you're friendly Treehouse Bodywork owner/practitioner.

Through Treehouse Bodywork I offer:
🌸Chi Nei Tsang (Taoist Abdominal Massage) - it is a little different to 'normal' massage because it focusses on the fascia, organs and ultimately flow of chi through the whole body. IT IS AMAZING. I'm not just saying that, it is incredible powerful with effects felt through the entire body and nervous system.
🌸Shamanic Healing - Techniques practiced by humans in all corners of the globe for as long as there is recorded human history, there is nothing 'new age' about it, at least in the system I trained in. It is all about removing things from the energy body that don't belong and returning things that do.
🌸Thai Massage - traditional floor-based thai massage, it's like someone else doing yoga for you.
🌸Meditation in Nature - extended periods of time alone in nature is actually what has taught me the most about the essence of healing and consciousness so I offer meditation in nature public courses, training for organisations and soon to have guided meditations to download.

You can learn more about nature-based training and retreats on my other page Way of Nature WA and insta account

Feel free to DM me any questions to book in at my home studio in Beaconsfield 🌿

Our story

Treehouse Bodywork provides a truly holistic health service, addressing all the 'bodies' that make up the human being. Claire offers: - Thaivedic Bodywork and Yoga Therapy - a combination of Thai massage, yoga and Ayurveda - Chi Nei Tsang (taoist abdominal massage) - great for detoxification and digestion - Shamanic healing - based on core shamanic practice, the essence of what shamans have done all around the world for milennia A bit more about Claire: Claire has a Bachelor degree in Occupational Therapy and Post-Graduate Certificate in Health Promotion. She left the traditional 'health' fields several years ago, not really feeling like this was how she was meant to contribute to the world. She moved into sustainability and eventually merged that with the spiritual path and now offers modern vision quests and spirituality in nature programs - see Way of Nature WA. The Way of Nature work opened a new appreciation for the value of individual healing. The ethos of Treehouse Bodywork is very much grounded in the realisation that true healing is healing for all of life.

She brings her experience with healing into her broader work with Weapons of Mass Creation, where she works with organisations and individuals become literal forces of creation through cultivating direct connection with Nature and in turn, the fundamental creative power of life. The focus is then on what is now the leading edge – how we can integrate the understanding and awarenesses we get from the experience of being nature into our collective systems, by embodying Nature’s life-giving patterns and expressing them through how we lead and engage in systems design. Her training is with: http://www.thaivedicyoga.com/ https://www.shamanism.org/ (the Foundation for Shamanic Studies) http://www.partnereartheducationcenter.com/
