Mission Australia have launched their 2024 Youth Survey report that captures the experiences and perspectives of young people aged 15-19.

Young people have identified cost of living, climate change and the environment, violence, safety and crime and mental health as the top national issues that they want Australia to address in 2024.

The Youth Survey Report 2024 has also revealed that most young people felt good about their lives and their education and employment opportunities, but some faced housing and financial hardships and worried about their future.

It also revealed that while young people felt connected to those close to them and their community, and knew where to get information about important issues, they can find it hard to fit in, have a say and be treated fairly.

Have Your Say!

This survey will help understand the barriers and enablers to participation in the new life-saving National Lung Cancer Screening Program that's officially starting in July 2025.

Have your say if you're an organisation representing a priority population disproportionately impacted by lung cancer, or you're an individual/consumer and you believe your organisation would be interested in sharing your own personal experiences and perspective.

The National Lung Cancer Screening Program will use a low-dose CT scan to detect lung cancer in asymptomatic at-risk Australians. When lung cancer is detected early improved outcomes and cure are possible. At-risk Australians will be able to have a free lung scan every two years.

Your insights will help ensure people who need the program can access it.
