Brain Training Australia Our psychologist - developed modules are designed to accommodate diverse learning styles.

Private psychology practice supporting Adults with ADHD through structured evidence-based therapy programs and clinical intervention training and supervision for psychologists and health professionals working across diverse mental health presentations. Brain Training Australia is a private psychology practice offering structured evidence-based therapy programs for adults with ADHD & clinical intervention training and supervision for psychologists and health professionals working across diverse mental health presentations. Our flagship Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) program is tailored for adults with Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD) with the modules available focusing on key areas such as emotional regulation, executive functioning, goal setting, time management, sleep improvement, fitness and focus, and parenting challenges. These modules have been created specifically to reduce overwhelm and improve engagement. We know online learning can be hard for ADHD brains, so we’ve built the course with features that support focus, flexibility, and real-life application:
• 📘 Guided workbooks help you stay organised and track your learning.
• ⏩ Adjustable playback speeds mean you can go at your own pace — x1, x1.5, or x2.
• 🍏 Bite-sized chapters break content into manageable, easy-to-follow chunks.
• ✏️ Step-by-step examples help you understand and apply each concept.
• 🎧 Captions with word highlighting support visual and auditory processing.
• ✅ Evidence-based techniques are taught in a way that allows you to pick what works best for you.
• 🎙️ Audio-guided PowerPoint presentations allow you to listen to the course content, which is particularly beneficial for auditory learners. Many participants find this feature helpful, using it similarly to a podcast while multitasking in their daily lives. We also provide clinical intervention education in the format of introduction seminars. Suited to: Health Professionals: provisional psychologists (those completing the 4+2 or 5+1 internship pathway towards general registration with the Psychology Board of Australia (PsyBA), registered psychologists, mental health professionals including counsellors, social workers, occupational therapists, mental health nurses, and allied health practitioners, looking to benefit from clinical intervention training to develop their therapeutic skills and client outcomes. Delivered by a registered psychologist to offer an introduction to core therapeutic interventions, including Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Motivational Interviewing (MI), Narrative Therapy (NT), Solution-Focused Therapy (SFT), Interpersonal Therapy (IT), Psychodynamic Therapy, and Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT). Ongoing professional development ensures ethical practice, clinical competency, and improved client outcomes across diverse mental health settings. Our programs are accessible via web browsers on various devices, including desktops, laptops, tablets, iPhones/iOS, and smartphones, providing flexibility in how users engage with the content. We are committed to providing accessible, practical, and flexible support to empower adults with ADHD and also the clinicians who care for them.

Ever wondered why you feel sad or numb on days that are supposed to feel special like birthdays, holidays, or anniversaries?

It’s not that you’re ungrateful or “too emotional.”

People with ADHD often experience emotional crashes on special occasions because of dopamine drops, overstimulation, and sky-high expectations.

You’re not alone and you’re definitely not broken. 💛

✨ Save this for the next time a “happy” day feels heavy.

When you have ADHD, emotions don't just visit... they take over.
But learning to manage them doesn't mean "controlling" yourself. It means understanding your brain, your triggers, and your nervous system.

These CBT-based ADHD techniques help you calm faster, think clearer, and respond with intention not impulse.

💬 Save this post for when your emotions feel too big to handle.

✨ Follow for ADHD emotional regulation tools, self-awareness techniques, and CBT strategies that actually work.

✨ They say "everyone has ADHD these days," but that's not true.
What's true is that women have been misdiagnosed, dismissed, and told they're too emotional for decades.

We weren't seeking trends, we were seeking answers.
We masked, overperformed, burned out, and blamed ourselves for symptoms no one ever explained.

Now, we're naming it.
Because ADHD in women isn't a phase, a label, or an excuse.
It's a story finally being told out loud. 💛

👉 Follow if you're done hiding and ready to understand your ADHD.... The Real Way.

Do you ever react before you even realize what's happening?
Or feel emotions so strong it's like your brain hits "max volume" with no warning?

That's ADHD intensity and impulsivity. Two sides of the same coin.
The goal isn't to shut down. It's to understand it.

When you learn to name what's happening, you gain control, not over your feelings, but over your response.

In CBT for ADHD, we work on:
Emotional labeling
Body regulation (Breathing + movement)
Cognitive pause techniques
Self-compassion, not self-criticism

Because you're not broker. You're wired differently, not wrongly.

ADHD isn’t laziness, it’s caring deeply and still feeling frozen. You plan. You care. You overthink.
And yet sometimes your brain hits pause while your heart wants to run. It’s not lack of effort, it’s a
mental tug-of-war between motivation and paralysis. You’re not “unmotivated.” You’re navigating a brain wired for intensity, creativity, and sensitivity, not rigid structure. You don’t need judgment,
you need understanding, compassion, and the right tools. Your brain isn’t broken. It’s powerful,
just wired differently.
If you feel this, you are not alone.
Tell me, Do you ever feel guilty for
being stuck even when you care so much?

You can't control what you can't recognize. These 5 are often missed.👇

1️⃣ You say “I’m fine” but feel tension in your body.
2️⃣ You overthink instead of feeling.
3️⃣ You react suddenly, then feel confused.
4️⃣ You struggle to name emotions beyond “good” or “bad.”
5️⃣ You feel emotionally “numb.”

Awareness is noticing these moments, not judging them.

♥️ Save this post as a reminder for when you feel disconnected.
