Many thanks to Ross Oliver for donating this limited edition, 2 volumes of a transcript of Major Logue's Diaries. Logue commenced writing a Diary whilst bringing stock overland to Champion Bay in 1850. He established a pastoral station at Ellendale and kept writing a daily record of activities there up to January 1900.
The Diaries have been transcribed by Nan Broad, a massive task, taking 8 years.
The Diaries are a unique record of the colonisation of this region, and we are honoured to receive these copies for this museum's library.

A recent donation is the massive early 19th century copper frying pan.
Just the sort of cooking utensil a mother of 14 like Elizabeth Maley would have required.

Can you work out what the ? words are, and any idea why it would be taken?
