Remedial massage can be used to work on parts of the body that require rehabilitation from an injury or on muscles that are tired, stressed and over used (for example the shoulders rounding forward because of too much computer work!).

A session will start with a review of your muscles, ligaments, tendons and posture.

A plan is then established to help treat muscles that are damaged, knotted, tense or immobile and the massage can begin!

After a remedial session you will be given some strength & stretching exercises and other reccomendations to continue to improve your condition.

Revision time!!

Reading back over some of the most common conditions remedial massage therapists come accross...

Shoulder impingement, Sciatica, planta faciitis, RSI, TMJ, headaches and migrain...

We worked on how we as 'remedial therapists' can support these conditions.

So much info over the weekend, my brain needed a few days rest so im just opening my book again now...... πŸ€£πŸ™ˆπŸ˜† still loving the learning though!! 😍

It's been a while since I've posted!

I have been very busy with family and working with my current amazing Personal Training & Nutrition clients, planning programs to SMASH their goals!
To make things even more busy I am studying to upgrade my massage skills! I am well into the thick of it and can now use more techniques to provide deeper tissue massage and by Feb next year I will be a Remedial massage therapist 😍πŸ₯³

It has put some of my Pilates sessions and my social life on hold but in the long run the Remedial massage techniques will boost my skills to help my clients even more!!!!
