Let’s fix that😌💚⁣

Your lymphatic system is basically your body’s 𝘸𝘢𝘴𝘵𝘦 𝘮𝘢𝘯𝘢𝘨𝘦𝘮𝘦𝘯𝘵, 𝘥𝘦𝘵𝘰𝘹 𝘴𝘲𝘶𝘢𝘥, 𝘪𝘮𝘮𝘶𝘯𝘦 𝘣𝘰𝘶𝘯𝘤𝘦𝘳 & 𝘧𝘭𝘶𝘪𝘥 𝘵𝘳𝘢𝘧𝘧𝘪𝘤 𝘤𝘰𝘯𝘵𝘳𝘰𝘭𝘭𝘦𝘳 all in one. Yet… most people only notice it when they’re puffy before a night out or after a long flight⁣

But trust me — your lymph deserves more than a jade roller & a prayer⁣

🌿 𝗪𝐄𝐒𝐓𝐄𝐑𝐍 𝐌𝐄𝐃𝐈𝐂𝐈𝐍𝐄 𝐕𝐈𝐄𝗪: 𝐓𝐇𝐄 𝐋𝐘𝐌𝐏𝐇 𝐈𝐒 𝐓𝐇𝐄 𝐔𝐍𝐒𝐔𝐍𝐆 𝐇𝐄𝐑𝐎⁣

Western medicine sees the lymphatic system as a network of vessels, nodes & fluids that:⁣

Removes waste⁣
Supports immunity⁣
Regulates fluid balance⁣
Helps fight infections⁣
Basically, it’s your body’s plumbing system — except you can’t call a tradie when things get clogged⁣

When lymph gets stagnant, you might experience:⁣

Puffiness⁣
Swelling⁣
Brain fog⁣
Sluggishness⁣
Constant “why am I tired again?” vibes⁣

Sometimes the immune system is like, “Boss, I’m doing my BEST here but the drains are blocked.”⁣

𝐓𝐂𝐌 𝐕𝐈𝐄𝗪: 𝐒𝐓𝐀𝐆𝐍𝐀𝐓𝐈𝐎𝐍? 𝗪𝐄 𝐊𝐍𝐎𝗪 𝐇𝐄𝐑⁣

In Traditional Chinese Medicine, lymphatic stagnation is just fancy Western language for 𝐐𝐢 & 𝐟𝐥𝐮𝐢𝐝 𝐬𝐭𝐚𝐠𝐧𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧, often tied to:⁣

Spleen Qi deficiency⁣
Dampness⁣
Liver Qi stagnation⁣
Weakened Wei Qi (immune defence)⁣

When your lymph is sluggish, TCM basically says your internal traffic has hit peak-hour Perth energy — bumper to bumper, no one moving & someone definitely forgot to use their indicator. 🚗💥⁣

TCM recognises signs like:⁣

Puffiness = Dampness⁣

Feeling heavy = Spleen Qi struggling⁣

Immune issues = Wei Qi low⁣

PMS, irritability, stress = Liver Qi not flowing smoothly⁣

Translation: your lymph is yelling “HELP ME HELP YOU” while you keep hitting snooze⁣

Let’s clear this up once & for all — because if one more person walks in saying, “I thought I’d just get a quick tune-up before my embryo transfer,” my Spleen Qi might actually leave the chat⁣

Here’s the truth: Acupuncture is not a drive-through service where you order a Big Mac, a medium fries, & “one successful pregnancy, thanks.” It’s more like training for a marathon — but with fewer blisters & way more chances of crying (in a good, hormonal-balancing way)⁣

𝐇𝐨𝐰 𝐦𝐚𝐧𝐲 𝐬𝐞𝐬𝐬𝐢𝐨𝐧𝐬 𝐝𝐨 𝐲𝐨𝐮 𝐧𝐞𝐞𝐝?⁣

Short answer: 𝐌𝐨𝐫𝐞 𝐭𝐡𝐚𝐧 𝐲𝐨𝐮 𝐭𝐡𝐢𝐧𝐤⁣
Long answer: 𝐈𝐭 𝐝𝐞𝐩𝐞𝐧𝐝𝐬 𝐨𝐧 𝐲𝐨𝐮𝐫 𝐜𝐲𝐜𝐥𝐞, 𝐲𝐨𝐮𝐫 𝐚𝐠𝐞, 𝐲𝐨𝐮𝐫 𝐝𝐢𝐚𝐠𝐧𝐨𝐬𝐢𝐬, 𝐲𝐨𝐮𝐫 𝐬𝐭𝐫𝐞𝐬𝐬 𝐥𝐞𝐯𝐞𝐥𝐬, & 𝐰𝐡𝐞𝐭𝐡𝐞𝐫 𝐲𝐨𝐮𝐫 𝐮𝐭𝐞𝐫𝐮𝐬 𝐢𝐬 𝐜𝐮𝐫𝐫𝐞𝐧𝐭𝐥𝐲 𝐛𝐞𝐡𝐚𝐯𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐥𝐢𝐤𝐞 𝐚 𝐙𝐞𝐧 𝐠𝐚𝐫𝐝𝐞𝐧 𝐨𝐫 𝐚 𝐛𝐮𝐫𝐧𝐭-𝐨𝐮𝐭 𝐨𝐟𝐟𝐢𝐜𝐞 𝐢𝐧𝐭𝐞𝐫𝐧⁣

Here’s the general framework:⁣

✅ 1. 𝐏𝐑𝐄-𝐈𝐕𝐅 𝐅𝐎𝐔𝐍𝐃𝐀𝐓𝐈𝐎𝐍 (𝟖–𝟏𝟐 𝐰𝐞𝐞𝐤𝐬)⁣

This is where we:⁣
– Build Yin (because IVF meds can be… thirsty)⁣
– Nourish your follicles⁣
– Improve blood flow to the ovaries & uterus⁣
– Get your cycles regulated⁣
– Calm the nervous system so you’re not Googling “IVF symptoms at 3am”⁣

Think of this phase as renovating the house 𝘣𝘦𝘧𝘰𝘳𝘦 you put in new furniture⁣

✅ 2. 𝐃𝐔𝐑𝐈𝐍𝐆 𝐒𝐓𝐈𝐌𝐔𝐋𝐀𝐓𝐈𝐎𝐍 (𝟐–𝟑 𝐬𝐞𝐬𝐬𝐢𝐨𝐧𝐬 𝐩𝐞𝐫 𝐰𝐞𝐞𝐤)⁣

Your ovaries are working overtime. Your hormones are throwing confetti in every direction. Your emotions have filed for annual leave.⁣
Acupuncture here helps reduce side effects, improves response to meds & supports follicle growth like a tiny cheerleading squad made of needles⁣

✅ 3. 𝐏𝐑𝐄-𝐑𝐄𝐓𝐑𝐈𝐄𝐕𝐀𝐋 + 𝐓𝐑𝐀𝐍𝐒𝐅𝐄𝐑 𝗪𝐄𝐄𝐊 (𝟐 𝐬𝐞𝐬𝐬𝐢𝐨𝐧𝐬 𝐦𝐢𝐧𝐢𝐦𝐮𝐦)⁣

These are your “don’t skip” appointments:⁣
– One before egg retrieval⁣
– One on transfer day or within 48 hours⁣

Let’s talk about 𝐫𝐚𝐰 & 𝐜𝐨𝐥𝐝 𝐟𝐨𝐨𝐝𝐬 — the 𝘥𝘢𝘳𝘭𝘪𝘯𝘨𝘴 of Western wellness culture & the 𝐚𝐫𝐜𝐡𝐧𝐞𝐦𝐞𝐬𝐢𝐬 of your TCM digestive system⁣

You know how everyone thinks they’re being super healthy by munching on icy açai bowls, salads the size of their torso & green juices that taste like lawn clippings?⁣

Yeah… in 𝐓𝐂𝐌, that’s basically giving your Spleen a cold shower & expecting it to say “thank you.”⁣

𝗪𝐡𝐲 𝐓𝐂𝐌 𝐬𝐚𝐲𝐬 “𝐦𝐚𝐲𝐛𝐞 𝐝𝐨𝐧’𝐭” 𝐰𝐡𝐞𝐧 𝐢𝐭 𝐜𝐨𝐦𝐞𝐬 𝐭𝐨 𝐫𝐚𝐰 + 𝐜𝐨𝐥𝐝 𝐟𝐨𝐨𝐝𝐬⁣

In TCM, digestion is powered by the 𝐒𝐩𝐥𝐞𝐞𝐧 & 𝐒𝐭𝐨𝐦𝐚𝐜𝐡, known as your 𝐦𝐢𝐝𝐝𝐥𝐞 𝐛𝐮𝐫𝐧𝐞𝐫 — think of it like a warm cooking pot. Raw, cold food is like tossing frozen peas into a barely simmering soup: everything stops cooking, the temperature drops & suddenly nothing is digesting properly⁣

Your Spleen is like, “Babe… I was 𝘸𝘢𝘳𝘮𝘪𝘯𝘨 your food. Why did you send me an ice brick?”⁣

Eating too much cold/raw food can lead to:⁣

Bloating (aka the Spleen waving a white flag)⁣

Loose stools (your body trying to exit the building)⁣

Fatigue⁣

Period issues⁣

Feeling cold all the time⁣

& the worst one… craving more salads because you think you’re cleansing. No, you’re freezing⁣

𝐁𝐮𝐭 𝐫𝐚𝐰 𝐟𝐨𝐨𝐝 𝐡𝐚𝐬 𝐧𝐮𝐭𝐫𝐢𝐞𝐧𝐭𝐬… 𝐫𝐢𝐠𝐡𝐭?⁣

Absolutely. But TCM isn’t arguing with your vitamins — it’s arguing with your 𝐭𝐡𝐞𝐫𝐦𝐨𝐝𝐲𝐧𝐚𝐦𝐢𝐜𝐬⁣

Raw foods are harder to break down. They require more digestive fire & if your Spleen Qi is already a bit wobbly (hi modern stress, caffeine, skipping breakfast & living on iced lattes), adding cold/raw foods is like kicking it while it’s down⁣

You can still get all the nutrients from food that is:⁣

Lightly steamed⁣

Stir-fried⁣

Warm⁣

Soupy⁣

Cooked⁣

Literally anything that doesn’t frostbite your insides⁣

“𝐁𝐮𝐭 𝐬𝐚𝐥𝐚𝐝𝐬 𝐚𝐫𝐞 𝐡𝐞𝐚𝐥𝐭𝐡𝐲!”⁣

Sure — for someone with:⁣

A strong digestive fire⁣

A naturally hot constitution⁣

Let’s talk about the hormonal drama no one asked for but so many people are dealing with: 𝐨𝐞𝐬𝐭𝐫𝐨𝐠𝐞𝐧 𝐝𝐨𝐦𝐢𝐧𝐚𝐧𝐜𝐞⁣

Western medicine sees it one way… TCM sees it another… & your body sees it as “please stop making me hold onto this bloat, rage & breast tenderness like it’s my personality.”⁣

🔥 𝗪𝐞𝐬𝐭𝐞𝐫𝐧 𝐕𝐢𝐞𝐰: 𝐎𝐞𝐬𝐭𝐫𝐨𝐠𝐞𝐧 𝐃𝐨𝐦𝐢𝐧𝐚𝐧𝐜𝐞 𝟏𝟎𝟏⁣

In Western medicine, oestrogen dominance basically means you’ve got too much 𝘰𝘦𝘴𝘵𝘳𝘰𝘨𝘦𝘯 𝘳𝘦𝘭𝘢𝘵𝘪𝘷𝘦 𝘵𝘰 𝘱𝘳𝘰𝘨𝘦𝘴𝘵𝘦𝘳𝘰𝘯𝘦⁣
Think:⁣

PMS that feels personal⁣

Cycles that change their mind every month⁣

Breast tenderness that should honestly count as a cardio workout⁣

Mood swings that make your partner Google “how to support someone without dying”⁣

Causes? Stress, poor detoxification, synthetic hormones, gut issues, environmental toxins… basically the 2025 starter pack⁣

🌿 𝐓𝐂𝐌 𝐕𝐢𝐞𝐰: 𝐒𝐚𝐦𝐞 𝐃𝐫𝐚𝐦𝐚, 𝐃𝐢𝐟𝐟𝐞𝐫𝐞𝐧𝐭 𝐃𝐢𝐚𝐠𝐧𝐨𝐬𝐢𝐬⁣

TCM doesn’t use the term 𝘰𝘦𝘴𝘵𝘳𝘰𝘨𝘦𝘯 𝘥𝘰𝘮𝘪𝘯𝘢𝘯𝘤𝘦. Instead it asks: “𝗪𝐡𝐲 𝐢𝐬 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐛𝐨𝐝𝐲 𝐬𝐭𝐫𝐮𝐠𝐠𝐥𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐭𝐨 𝐫𝐞𝐠𝐮𝐥𝐚𝐭𝐞 𝐢𝐭𝐬𝐞𝐥𝐟?”⁣

Common patterns include:⁣

𝐋𝐢𝐯𝐞𝐫 𝐐𝐢 𝐒𝐭𝐚𝐠𝐧𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧 → the OG hormone disrupter⁣

𝐋𝐢𝐯𝐞𝐫 𝐇𝐞𝐚𝐭 → hello irritability & PMS anger⁣

𝐒𝐩𝐥𝐞𝐞𝐧 𝐐𝐢 𝐃𝐞𝐟𝐢𝐜𝐢𝐞𝐧𝐜𝐲 → bloating, fatigue, fluid retention⁣

𝐏𝐡𝐥𝐞𝐠𝐦-𝐃𝐚𝐦𝐩 𝐚𝐜𝐜𝐮𝐦𝐮𝐥𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧 → cysts, weight gain, puffiness⁣

𝐊𝐢𝐝𝐧𝐞𝐲 𝐘𝐢𝐧 𝐃𝐞𝐟𝐢𝐜𝐢𝐞𝐧𝐜𝐲 → dryness, heat, restless sleep⁣

In TCM, it’s not about one hormone being “too much”…⁣
It’s about your internal systems being too stressed, too hot, too stuck, or too drained to maintain harmony⁣

Because hormones don’t really misbehave — the body gets overwhelmed⁣

✨𝐇𝐨𝐰 𝐃𝐨𝐞𝐬 𝐓𝐂𝐌 𝐀𝐜𝐭𝐮𝐚𝐥𝐥𝐲 𝐇𝐞𝐥𝐩?⁣

Let’s keep it simple (& mildly comedic):⁣

🌬️ 1. 𝐋𝐢𝐯𝐞𝐫 𝐐𝐢 𝐭𝐡𝐚𝐭 𝐜𝐢𝐫𝐜𝐮𝐥𝐚𝐭𝐞𝐬 = 𝐥𝐞𝐬𝐬 𝐡𝐨𝐫𝐦𝐨𝐧𝐚𝐥 𝐜𝐡𝐚𝐨𝐬⁣
Acupuncture + herbs help unstick the stuckness so your Liver stops acting like a manager who skipped breakfast⁣

Let’s talk 𝐬𝐞𝐞𝐝 𝐜𝐲𝐜𝐥𝐢𝐧𝐠, because Instagram has convinced half the planet that flax + pumpkin + sunflower + sesame = hormonal enlightenment. Cute idea. Pretty bowls. But let’s break this down from a 𝗪𝐞𝐬𝐭𝐞𝐫𝐧 lens, a 𝐓𝐂𝐌 lens & then — the truth nobody asked for but 𝘯𝘦𝘦𝘥𝘴⁣

🌱 𝗪𝐞𝐬𝐭𝐞𝐫𝐧 𝐕𝐢𝐞𝐰: 𝐓𝐡𝐞 𝐇𝐨𝐫𝐦𝐨𝐧𝐞 𝐇𝐚𝐜𝐤 𝐘𝐨𝐮 𝐂𝐚𝐧 𝐄𝐚𝐭?⁣

Seed cycling basically suggests that certain seeds support different phases of your menstrual cycle:⁣

𝐅𝐨𝐥𝐥𝐢𝐜𝐮𝐥𝐚𝐫 𝐩𝐡𝐚𝐬𝐞: Flax & pumpkin to “boost estrogen”⁣

𝐋𝐮𝐭𝐞𝐚𝐥 𝐩𝐡𝐚𝐬𝐞: Sunflower & sesame to “support progesterone”⁣

Does Western research strongly back this? Not really. There’s some evidence that flax can help with estrogen metabolism, sure. Pumpkin has zinc. Sesame has lignans. Sunflower has vitamin E. All good things.⁣

But Western medicine isn’t out here saying: “Babe, you ovulated because you ate a flaxseed cracker.” No. It’s nutrition, not magic⁣

🌙 𝐓𝐂𝐌 𝐕𝐢𝐞𝐰: 𝐒𝐞𝐞𝐝𝐬 = 𝐌𝐢𝐧𝐢 𝐓𝐨𝐧𝐢𝐜𝐬 𝗪𝐢𝐭𝐡 𝐁𝐢𝐠 𝐏𝐞𝐫𝐬𝐨𝐧𝐚𝐥𝐢𝐭𝐢𝐞𝐬⁣

TCM doesn’t do “flax = estrogen” charts. We do 𝐘𝐢𝐧, 𝐘𝐚𝐧𝐠, 𝐐𝐢, 𝐁𝐥𝐨𝐨𝐝 & organ systems that actually explain 𝘸𝘩𝘺 𝘺𝘰𝘶𝘳 𝘤𝘺𝘤𝘭𝘦 𝘣𝘦𝘩𝘢𝘷𝘦𝘴 𝘵𝘩𝘦 𝘸𝘢𝘺 𝘪𝘵 𝘥𝘰𝘦𝘴⁣

Here’s how seeds look through a TCM microscope:⁣

𝐅𝐥𝐚𝐱 𝐬𝐞𝐞𝐝𝐬 — nourish Yin, moisten dryness, calm heat⁣

𝐏𝐮𝐦𝐩𝐤𝐢𝐧 𝐬𝐞𝐞𝐝𝐬 — support Kidney Qi, nourish Jing, benefit fertility⁣

𝐒𝐞𝐬𝐚𝐦𝐞 𝐬𝐞𝐞𝐝𝐬 — Blood nourishing, Yin boosting, great for dryness⁣

𝐒𝐮𝐧𝐟𝐥𝐨𝐰𝐞𝐫 𝐬𝐞𝐞𝐝𝐬 — strengthen Spleen, support digestion, calm the Liver⁣

TCM says: “Yes girl, seeds are great — but your cycle imbalance is not caused by a lack of chia pudding.”⁣

TCM asks the real questions:⁣

Are you Yin deficient?⁣

Is your Liver Qi stuck in traffic?⁣

𝐈𝐬 𝐂𝐥𝐨𝐦𝐢𝐝 𝐡𝐞𝐥𝐩𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐟𝐨𝐥𝐥𝐢𝐜𝐥𝐞𝐬 𝐠𝐫𝐨𝐰… 𝐨𝐫 𝐝𝐫𝐚𝐢𝐧𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐘𝐢𝐧 𝐥𝐢𝐤𝐞 𝐲𝐨𝐮𝐫 𝐨𝐯𝐚𝐫𝐢𝐞𝐬 𝐚𝐫𝐞 𝐬𝐭𝐮𝐜𝐤 𝐢𝐧 𝐚 𝐝𝐞𝐬𝐞𝐫𝐭?”⁣

Let’s talk about the fertility drug everyone’s heard of but no one really 𝘦𝘹𝘱𝘭𝘢𝘪𝘯𝘴 properly: 𝐂𝐥𝐨𝐦𝐢𝐝⁣

Western medicine calls it a first-line treatment. TCM calls it: “𝘈𝘩… 𝘺𝘦𝘴. 𝘛𝘩𝘦 𝘵𝘩𝘪𝘯𝘨 𝘵𝘩𝘢𝘵 𝘥𝘳𝘪𝘦𝘴 𝘦𝘷𝘦𝘳𝘺𝘵𝘩𝘪𝘯𝘨 𝘰𝘶𝘵.”⁣

Both are kind of right. Let me break it down⁣

𝐓𝐇𝐄 𝗪𝐄𝐒𝐓𝐄𝐑𝐍 𝐕𝐈𝐄𝗪:⁣

Clomid (clomiphene citrate) works by tricking your brain into thinking your oestrogen is low⁣

Your brain panics → shouts at your ovaries → “MAKE MORE FOLLICLES!”⁣

Ovaries begrudgingly comply.⁣
Follicles grow. Ovulation happens. High-five⁣

But here’s the fine print Western medicine doesn’t lead with: Clomid can thin your uterine lining, dry up cervical mucus & turn your emotions into a soap opera audition. Because when you block oestrogen receptors, your body acts like it’s running on 2% battery⁣

𝐓𝐇𝐄 𝐓𝐂𝐌 𝐕𝐈𝐄𝗪:⁣

TCM watches all this happen & goes:⁣

“𝐂𝐨𝐧𝐠𝐫𝐚𝐭𝐬 𝐨𝐧 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐟𝐨𝐥𝐥𝐢𝐜𝐥𝐞… 𝐛𝐮𝐭 𝐰𝐡𝐞𝐫𝐞 𝐝𝐢𝐝 𝐚𝐥𝐥 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐘𝐢𝐧 𝐠𝐨?”⁣

From a TCM lens, Clomid can:⁣

𝐃𝐫𝐲 𝐘𝐢𝐧 → think dry cervical mucus, hot flashes, insomnia⁣

𝐀𝐠𝐢𝐭𝐚𝐭𝐞 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐋𝐢𝐯𝐞𝐫 → mood swings, irritability, ‘I-will-cry-if-the-barista-gets-this-wrong’ energy⁣

𝗪𝐞𝐚𝐤𝐞𝐧 𝐁𝐥𝐨𝐨𝐝 → thinner lining, poor implantation environment⁣

𝐇𝐞𝐚𝐭 𝐮𝐩 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐬𝐲𝐬𝐭𝐞𝐦 → which is great for stir-frying noodles, not great for fertility⁣

Translation: You might grow follicles, but if the soil (aka Yin + Blood) becomes Sahara-level dry, the egg might not get the cozy nest it deserves⁣

𝗪𝐇𝐀𝐓’𝐒 𝐓𝐇𝐄 𝐓𝐑𝐔𝐓𝐇?⁣

Clomid isn’t “good” or “bad.”⁣
It’s a tool. A sometimes-useful, sometimes-chaotic tool.⁣
Kind of like using a leaf blower to remove a single crumb⁣

It helps some people ovulate beautifully. It leaves others with headaches, dryness & a lining so thin it feels like your uterus skipped breakfast⁣

𝗪𝐡𝐚𝐭 𝐢𝐟 𝐦𝐞𝐧𝐨𝐩𝐚𝐮𝐬𝐞 𝐢𝐬𝐧’𝐭 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐩𝐫𝐨𝐛𝐥𝐞𝐦 — 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐧𝐚𝐫𝐫𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐯𝐞 𝐢𝐬

Let’s talk about menopause — the phase of life Western medicine treats like a medical emergency & TCM treats like… Tuesday⁣

In the Western model, menopause is often framed as a 𝘩𝘰𝘳𝘮𝘰𝘯𝘢𝘭 𝘥𝘪𝘴𝘢𝘴𝘵𝘦𝘳 𝘮𝘰𝘷𝘪𝘦:⁣
🔥 Oestrogen plummets⁣
⚠️ Symptoms explode⁣
💊 Replace everything before chaos ensues⁣

It’s seen as a problem, a pathology, a decline. Cue the ads telling you your bones, heart, brain & “femininity” are seconds away from collapse⁣

But TCM? Totally different vibe.⁣

In Traditional Chinese Medicine, menopause isn’t a crisis — it’s a 𝐐𝐢 𝐫𝐞𝐛𝐫𝐚𝐧𝐝.⁣
A transition. A shift. A natural evolution in how your body uses energy. Not a “hormone apocalypse,” more like “Congratulations, you’re levelling up.”⁣

TCM says the Kidney system (think: foundation of hormones, ageing, reproduction) gradually changes with time. Not “breaks.” Not “fails.” Just shifts. Instead of “fixing” menopause, TCM focuses on 𝐬𝐮𝐩𝐩𝐨𝐫𝐭𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐛𝐨𝐝𝐲 𝐭𝐡𝐫𝐨𝐮𝐠𝐡 𝐢𝐭: balancing Yin & Yang, calming internal heat, nourishing Blood & strengthening the Kidneys so symptoms stay manageable rather than dramatic⁣

Western medicine: “Here’s your diagnosis & prescription.”⁣
TCM: “Here’s your personalised plan, herbs, acupuncture, lifestyle tweaks & a gentle reminder to stop overheating your Liver with unnecessary stress.”⁣

Western medicine medicalised menopause because it zoomed in on hormone decline. TCM 𝘯𝘰𝘳𝘮𝘢𝘭𝘪𝘴𝘦𝘥 menopause because it zoomed out on the whole person⁣

Is one better? Not necessarily. But one is definitely less panicky⁣

Menopause doesn’t have to feel like you’re losing your identity, health, or sanity.⁣
Sometimes your body just needs support… not a siren⁣

If you want a more grounded, non-alarmist, actually holistic way to navigate menopause, book a session — your Qi (& sanity) will thank you⁣

𝐰𝐰𝐰.𝐚𝐝𝐞𝐞𝐥𝐦𝐮𝐧𝐬𝐡𝐢.𝐜𝐨𝐦.𝐚𝐮

𝐂𝐚𝐥𝐥𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐚𝐜𝐮𝐩𝐮𝐧𝐜𝐭𝐮𝐫𝐞 ‘𝐩𝐥𝐚𝐜𝐞𝐛𝐨’ 𝐢𝐬 𝐜𝐮𝐭𝐞 𝐮𝐧𝐭𝐢𝐥 𝐲𝐨𝐮𝐫 𝐛𝐚𝐜𝐤 𝐩𝐚𝐢𝐧 𝐝𝐢𝐬𝐚𝐩𝐩𝐞𝐚𝐫𝐬.”⁣

Let’s talk about one of the spiciest questions in the wellness world — the kind of question that makes Western scientists squint & TCM practitioners sip their tea a little harder⁣

Every few months, someone pops up saying:⁣
“𝘈𝘤𝘶𝘱𝘶𝘯𝘤𝘵𝘶𝘳𝘦 𝘰𝘯𝘭𝘺 𝘸𝘰𝘳𝘬𝘴 𝘣𝘦𝘤𝘢𝘶𝘴𝘦 𝘰𝘧 𝘱𝘭𝘢𝘤𝘦𝘣𝘰.” And honestly? That might be the funniest accidental compliment TCM has ever received⁣

Because if placebo means your body responds to 𝘣𝘦𝘭𝘪𝘦𝘧, 𝘪𝘯𝘵𝘦𝘯𝘵𝘪𝘰𝘯 & 𝘴𝘵𝘪𝘮𝘶𝘭𝘢𝘵𝘪𝘰𝘯 𝘰𝘧 𝘵𝘩𝘦 𝘯𝘦𝘳𝘷𝘰𝘶𝘴 𝘴𝘺𝘴𝘵𝘦𝘮 in ways that actually change pain, hormones, mood, digestion, inflammation & sleep…⁣

Then congratulations: you’ve just described 𝐐𝐢 𝐫𝐞𝐬𝐩𝐨𝐧𝐝𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐭𝐨 𝐢𝐧𝐩𝐮𝐭⁣

Here’s the thing:⁣
TCM never pretended Qi was some mystical cloud floating through your organs wearing a kimono. Qi is 𝐟𝐮𝐧𝐜𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧. It’s 𝐩𝐡𝐲𝐬𝐢𝐨𝐥𝐨𝐠𝐲. It’s your body’s ability to regulate, repair, communicate, rebalance & not fall apart under stress⁣

So when someone says “placebo,” TCM hears: “Oh — so your brain & body can talk to each other & respond in healing ways when stimulated?”⁣

To which we say: 𝐘𝐞𝐬. 𝗪𝐞𝐥𝐜𝐨𝐦𝐞 𝐭𝐨 𝐰𝐡𝐚𝐭 𝐰𝐞’𝐯𝐞 𝐛𝐞𝐞𝐧 𝐬𝐚𝐲𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐟𝐨𝐫 𝟐,𝟎𝟎𝟎 𝐲𝐞𝐚𝐫𝐬⁣

Acupuncture doesn’t rely on belief — it relies on biology. Needles activate the central nervous system, change blood flow, modulate inflammation, regulate hormones, calm the limbic system & shift the body out of fight-or-flight.⁣

That’s not placebo. That’s 𝐐𝐢 𝐠𝐞𝐭𝐭𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐭𝐨 𝐰𝐨𝐫𝐤 𝐥𝐢𝐤𝐞 𝐢𝐭 𝐟𝐢𝐧𝐚𝐥𝐥𝐲 𝐠𝐨𝐭 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐠𝐫𝐨𝐮𝐩 𝐜𝐡𝐚𝐭 𝐧𝐨𝐭𝐢𝐟𝐢𝐜𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧⁣

But if someone wants to call it placebo? Fine. Just don’t forget that “placebo” consistently outperforms a surprising amount of pharmaceuticals in clinical trials⁣

If that’s all Qi is — it’s still doing better than half the medicine cabinet⁣

If you’re ready to stop arguing about placebo & actually 𝘧𝘦𝘦𝘭 the difference in your own body, book an acupuncture session & let your Qi (or your placebo, we don’t judge) get to work⁣

✨ “𝐀𝐑𝐄 𝐀𝐍𝐓𝐈𝐃𝐄𝐏𝐑𝐄𝐒𝐒𝐀𝐍𝐓𝐒 𝐎𝐕𝐄𝐑𝐏𝐑𝐄𝐒𝐂𝐑𝐈𝐁𝐄𝐃… 𝐎𝐑 𝐃𝐈𝐃 𝗪𝐄 𝐀𝐋𝐋 𝐉𝐔𝐒𝐓 𝐒𝐊𝐈𝐏 𝐓𝐇𝐄 𝐄𝐌𝐎𝐓𝐈𝐎𝐍𝐀𝐋 𝐑𝐄𝐆𝐔𝐋𝐀𝐓𝐈𝐎𝐍 𝐂𝐋𝐀𝐒𝐒?” ✨⁣⁣Let’s be honest: half...

Let’s be honest: half of us never learned how to regulate emotions⁣

We learned long division.⁣
We learned the mitochondria is the powerhouse of the cell.⁣
We learned how to find x.⁣
But no one taught us what to do when someone texts “we need to talk.”⁣

So now? One bad week & we’re like: “Is this… serotonin deficiency? Or am I just overwhelmed because I haven’t slept since 2018?”⁣

👉 𝐁𝐞𝐟𝐨𝐫𝐞 𝐚𝐧𝐲𝐨𝐧𝐞 𝐜𝐨𝐦𝐞𝐬 𝐟𝐨𝐫 𝐦𝐞 — 𝐘𝐄𝐒, 𝐚𝐧𝐭𝐢𝐝𝐞𝐩𝐫𝐞𝐬𝐬𝐚𝐧𝐭𝐬 𝐜𝐚𝐧 𝐛𝐞 𝐥𝐢𝐟𝐞-𝐬𝐚𝐯𝐢𝐧𝐠⁣
But the question is: 𝘢𝘳𝘦 𝘵𝘩𝘦𝘺 𝘴𝘰𝘮𝘦𝘵𝘪𝘮𝘦𝘴 𝘨𝘪𝘷𝘦𝘯 𝘰𝘶𝘵 𝘣𝘦𝘤𝘢𝘶𝘴𝘦 𝘯𝘰 𝘰𝘯𝘦 𝘵𝘦𝘢𝘤𝘩𝘦𝘴 𝘱𝘦𝘰𝘱𝘭𝘦 𝘩𝘰𝘸 𝘵𝘰 𝘶𝘯𝘥𝘦𝘳𝘴𝘵𝘢𝘯𝘥 𝘵𝘩𝘦𝘪𝘳 𝘦𝘮𝘰𝘵𝘪𝘰𝘯𝘴, 𝘮𝘢𝘯𝘢𝘨𝘦 𝘴𝘵𝘳𝘦𝘴𝘴 𝘰𝘳 𝘯𝘰𝘶𝘳𝘪𝘴𝘩 𝘵𝘩𝘦 𝘣𝘰𝘥𝘺 𝘵𝘩𝘢𝘵 𝘱𝘳𝘰𝘥𝘶𝘤𝘦𝘴 𝘵𝘩𝘰𝘴𝘦 𝘯𝘦𝘶𝘳𝘰𝘵𝘳𝘢𝘯𝘴𝘮𝘪𝘵𝘵𝘦𝘳𝘴 𝘪𝘯 𝘵𝘩𝘦 𝘧𝘪𝘳𝘴𝘵 𝘱𝘭𝘢𝘤𝘦?⁣

𝐓𝐇𝐄 𝐓𝐂𝐌 𝐓𝐀𝐊𝐄: 𝐘𝐎𝐔𝐑 𝐎𝐑𝐆𝐀𝐍𝐒 𝐀𝐑𝐄 𝐍𝐎𝐓 𝐉𝐔𝐒𝐓 𝐎𝐑𝐆𝐀𝐍𝐒 — 𝐓𝐇𝐄𝐘’𝐑𝐄 𝐄𝐌𝐎𝐓𝐈𝐎𝐍𝐀𝐋 𝐌𝐈𝐍𝐈-𝐌𝐀𝐍𝐀𝐆𝐄𝐑𝐒⁣

In Chinese Medicine, emotions aren’t random. They’re not “chemical imbalances” floating around like confetti.⁣
They’re 𝐟𝐮𝐧𝐜𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧𝐬 𝐨𝐟 𝐨𝐫𝐠𝐚𝐧𝐬 & when those organs get stressed, Qi gets messy⁣

Here’s the cheat sheet nobody gave you:⁣

🫀 Heart – regulates joy & overthinking⁣
🧠 Liver – keeps your mood flowing. Stress? Irritability? That’s your Liver Qi trying to escape through your eyeballs⁣
🫁 Lungs – process grief. Crying for “no reason”? There 𝘪𝘴 a reason⁣
🧃 Spleen – handles worry. (Also handles every snack you stress-ate.)⁣
🪽 Kidneys – store fear. Hello 3am anxiety for absolutely no reason⁣

When these systems are out of whack because we’re burnt out, overstimulated, nutrient-deficient, scrolling until 2am, or living on oat-milk iced lattes… 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐞𝐦𝐨𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧𝐚𝐥 𝐫𝐞𝐠𝐮𝐥𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧 𝐜𝐞𝐧𝐭𝐫𝐞 𝐜𝐨𝐥𝐥𝐚𝐩𝐬𝐞𝐬 𝐥𝐢𝐤𝐞 𝐚 𝐟𝐨𝐥𝐝𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐜𝐡𝐚𝐢𝐫⁣
