Happy 100th Birthday, Betty!
Residents and staff at Karri & Tuart Lodge came together to celebrate an incredible milestone — Betty Hall’s 100th birthday!
The morning was filled with music from Mr Accordion and plenty of tea and treats as Betty celebrated with her family and friends.
Betty has called Acacia House home for just over six years, and it was wonderful to see everyone come together to honour this special occasion.

There are some moments that remind us exactly why we do what we do — and last week’s Black Box Book Launch and Exhibition was one of them.
Over 150 guests joined us at the Aviation Heritage Museum last Friday to celebrate the launch of The Black Box and the incredible stories it preserves.
We were honoured to have author Geoffrey Thomas speak at the event and interview Ken Pittman, one of our long-serving volunteers whose remarkable story is featured in the book.
Through this book and our museum, we’re proud to ensure that the legacy of WA’s aviation pioneers and war heroes will never be forgotten.

Last week, our communities came together to honour the courage, sacrifice and service of the men and women who have defended our country.

Residents and staff gathered for meaningful services, observed a minute of silence, and laid wreaths in tribute.

Thank you to everyone who joined us in commemorating this important day.

Lest we forget.

Today is World Kindness Day!
A little kindness goes a long way — whether it’s offering a helping hand, lending a listening ear, or supporting a worthy cause.
Let’s take a moment to be intentionally kind today and every day and make the world a little brighter for those around us. 🌼

Today, on Remembrance Day, our nation stops to honour the courage, service and sacrifice of all who have served — and those who continue to serve — in defence of our nation.

We owe them a debt that can never be repaid.

Remembrance Day marks the moment the guns fell silent on the Western Front in 1918, a solemn reminder of the cost of peace and the courage shown by generations of Australians in its pursuit. This year, as we mark 80 years since the end of the Second World War, we honour the triumph as much as the toll.

We also pay tribute to our RAAFA members, residents and families who have served, supported, and carried forward the spirit of remembrance through generations.

Lest we forget.
