Meet Jason 💙

He’s 47, living with young onset dementia (YOD), and brings good banter, footy stories and plenty of charm wherever he goes.

He’s the kind of bloke you can’t help but warm to and safe to say, we're very lucky to know him.

Stick around to follow along his journey with us ✨

What we create together becomes part of our story 💙

As National Volunteer Week comes to a close, we’re reflecting on a week filled with gratitude, connection and creativity across Brightwater communities.

The mosaic tables have become a beautiful centrepiece to celebrate Brightwater’s 125 years and the power of community, created as part of our Mosaic of Connection project.

Volunteers, thank you for the joy you bring to Brightwater every single day.

Lastly, thanks to Lotterywest , Volunteering WA and WA MosaicArt for supporting this project.

National Volunteer Week celebrations are continuing across Brightwater ✨

Volunteers, residents and staff came together to create café-style mosaic tables. Each person adds their own tile, reflecting the stories, creativity and connections within each community.

Big thanks to Farida, Ravil and Amalia from WA MosaicArt for helping bring the project to life in a way that everyone can participate in and enjoy, alongside the support of Lotterywest and Volunteering WA .

A week on and we’re still feeling very grateful for our incredible nurses.

There were celebrations, sweet treats and even a few emergency nurse survival kits and other goodies to take home.

It was a lovely way to celebrate the incredible nurses who bring so much care, compassion and calm to Brightwater every day.

📸 Check out a few special moments from last week.

We're revisiting one of our most thought-provoking podcast episodes this Palliative Care Week 💛

Talking about death and dying is never easy, but having an honest chat with loved ones about your wishes can make an enormous difference when the time comes.

Planning ahead, understanding your options and having the right support around you can bring comfort, clarity and peace of mind for everyone involved.

Have a listen to this honest and brave conversation.

Tea, treats and special moments together 💐

Residents at Oxford Gardens enjoyed a lovely Mother’s Day high tea, filled with sweets, conversation and good company.

A simple but special way to celebrate the mums, grandmothers and mother figures who mean so much to so many 💛

Today, we’d like to say a big thank you to our nurses 💙

Thank you for the care you give, the calm you bring and the way you show up for people on both the good days and the hard ones.

Whether it’s a quiet reassuring moment, a helping hand or simply being there when someone needs it most, the difference you make never goes unnoticed.

Happy International Nurses Day to our incredible Brightwater nurses.

Lest we forget 🌹

Residents, families and staff came together at Inglewood Central to mark ANZAC Day, sharing a quiet moment of reflection and remembrance.

A special thank you to our guests from the RSL who joined us for the service, and to our resident Shirley, who took part in a reading.

It was a meaningful morning, filled with respect, reflection and community.

Footy, front row seats and a cuppa ☕💙💛

A few of our residents were recently treated to a West Coast Eagles training session, settling in and watching the team go through their paces.

There were some proud supporters in the crowd too, with Bob rocking up in his Eagles tee, while Terry had her scarf tucked neatly into her walker, ready to cheer from the sidelines.

For Angie and Kerry, it was all about being out and about, watching the players train and soaking up the atmosphere.

Definitely one for the books!
