Platinum Healthcare Perth

Platinum Healthcare Perth You need to know that while you are busy with your life, a qualified and friendly carer from Platinum Healthcare is looking after your loved one.

Do you have ageing parents that need home care? Or are you requiring care for a loved one with a disability? Do you want to care for them but you just don’t have the time? We understand that everyone is so busy these days, so when it comes to finding a carer for your loved one, we would like to offer you customised care you can rely upon. It’s the next best thing when you can’t be there yourself. Platinum Healthcare is a company that is big enough to support your every need but also small enough to provide those extra personal details, so that your loved one can remain totally comfortable in their own home. Because all homecare services are NOT the same. In fact it may surprise you to know that some companies just won’t do all of the services & tasks that we do. They only stick to basic services and their hourly rates. And that’s what separates us from the rest. You need peace of mind. You need to know that while you are busy with your life, a qualified and friendly carer is looking after your loved one. We already know that we can provide the highest level of care, but we would still like to speak with you about your specific needs, to see if we are a good fit. So please call us on (08) 9470 4075, so that we can have a confidential discussion about how to help you best.

Yesterday, 4 January, marked the birthday of Louis Braille, whose work changed the world for people living with vision loss.
After losing his sight as a child, Louis Braille went on to develop a system that gave vision impaired people something many take for granted: access, independence, and dignity.
More than two centuries later, his legacy still shows up in everyday life.
For some of the people we support, changes in vision don’t just affect reading. They affect confidence, routines, safety, and how connected life feels.
We see how disorienting that can be, and how important it is to have support that is patient, steady, and respectful of how someone wants to live.
This week is a quiet reminder that thoughtful support, done well, can change what’s possible.

New Year’s Day can feel very different inside an aged care home!!

Today, Rita and I visited my 89-year-old mum. In the middle of her current confused state, we were there to be present and bring a little distraction in her day.

As we walked past another room, we saw an elderly lady sitting quietly by the window – waiting. She looked exactly like the lady in this image. Thankfully, as we left later, we noticed her family had arrived.

If this post resonates, take it as a simple nudge:
---> Don’t forget those who once looked after you.
---> Care for them with the love they once showed you.

Many older people are carrying more loneliness than they’re showing.
If you can – visit.
If you can’t – call.
If you’re able, set a rhythm, or a family visiting roster (even something small and consistent).

And if your hope is for Mum or Dad to stay at home longer, please know there are alternatives to “waiting it out” until a crisis.
At Platinum, our role is to help people keep living their life, and to give families their role back, so visits can feel like visits again, not another problem to manage.

Today’s action:
Send the message ... Make the call ... Plan the next visit.

If you’d like support to keep someone safely at home, we’re here for a conversation about what it takes.

At Platinum Care and Support, we work deliberately differently.

We support people in their homes, communities, and schools, and we stay involved as needs change.

We can’t offer the salary packaging of certain large bodies.
What we can offer is time, trust, continuity, and a workplace where your clinical judgement genuinely matters.

Roles available:
• community & in-home nursing (aged care & disability)
• school nursing (school hours only)
• clinical support & training roles

We welcome new graduates and experienced nurses alike.
On a VISA - talk to us.
What matters most is a heart for care and a willingness to keep learning and growing.

You give support. What if you finally received some too?

Too many home and community support workers feel like they’re carrying everything alone — heavy workloads, no backup, constant pressure.

It shouldn’t be the norm.

There are workplaces where support workers feel supported.

Where your work is safe, your team has your back, and you’re not left to struggle through the hard moments alone.

If you want to care for others without burning out, start here.

Many families we support say the same thing — caring becomes overwhelming when you’re trying to coordinate everything yourself.

If you’re managing appointments, letters, funding, and daily needs on top of your own life and family, you don't have to carry that burden alone.

We guide families through their care programs with with straightforward advice and down-to-earth support, so you can return to being the daughter or son, and not the case manager.

If you’re feeling stretched, we’re here to help.
