☕️ So many chats about coffee intake this week!

My intake crept up during study and all the normal life things in May and June so I am consciously making an effort now to decrease it 👌🏻and consume it in a way my body likes a bit more.

My big two rules?
✅You must have breakfast (preferably with protein) before your coffee. Ideally with some water too but let’s not go too crazy 😂
✅Coffee after 10am and before 2pm

That way it doesnt screw around with your cortisol so much (empty stomache will do this!), your body can process it better, and you aren’t having it too late so hopefully it won’t impact your sleep quality

Atleast I’m not telling you that you can’t have it at all 😂

🤬Something is really irritating me lately. It makes me shake my head on a daily basis.

Want to know what it is?

😡Health influencers. People on insta or tik tok who have little (or none!!) training, giving out health advice.
A magic “take this and it will get rid of XYZ”. Or the next thing to “fix” perimenopause. The latest “coach” with a one size fits all answer to everything hormonal.

I have been seeing it everyone and it’s absolutely doing my head in.

✅ Yes, I am all for doing simple things to support your health.
✅ Yes, I am all for women getting more educated about their health and hormones.
❌No, hormones typically not be “fixed” with a one size fits all tablet, exercise, routine or magic food.
❌No, you shouldn’t be taking advice from a video that’s gone viral from someone with minimal training in women’s health, or someone with no health training!!
❌ No, you definitely should not be letting your teenage girls get their information about hormones from TilTok!

This might seem harsh. Or you might be nodding along in agreement.

💻 I have a double degree in Chiropractic. I have done so many extra courses through the years. I have spent more hours this last 11 months sitting here, learning and studying for my women’s health diplomate. Learning just how damn complicated women’s health is. And how every woman likely needs different care. Different recommendations. Different support.

✨Yes. Simple, basic things can absolutely help you.
But please pay attention to who you are taking your health advice from ladies. It could make the biggest difference to how you feel in the coming weeks, months and years.

Where did that term go??🤯😳
Back to this reality with means working whilst the kids have friends over to play.

It’s so easy to get wrapped up in holidays and for all those good habits that you just started doing consistently, to go out the window 🤦🏻‍♀️

But it doesn’t have to be that way!

Just make it be a little different on holidays.

⏰ Set your alarm and get some movement done before you hear “mum” 100 times before 8am
💦 Fill up your water bottle and make sure you drink it
🌲 Get into nature with the kids and get some movement and grounding for you all
🍽️ Meal plan, so you aren’t caught out each day. Maybe even go crazy and prep some meals for the freezer to make it easier in the term. Craziness, I know!

🤯I bet you’re feeling some tension in those shoulders, maybe a dull headache creeping in. You are tired, yet your brain won’t shut off 🧠 and you are scrolling and watching TV just to have a moment to yourself. But that turns into hours. And suddenly it’s almost midnight and you are still wide awake. Shattered. But awake. Starting to think about tomorrows to do list 🙈😳

What are you making happen today?
⏰ I certainly didn’t feel like making my morning run happen. It was windy and dark.
🛌 But I got up. And promised myself even a walk. If I still didn’t feel it after 10 minutes I would stop.
🏃🏻‍♀️ But I ran. It felt good. And I got through almost half hour.

🤪You don’t need to do a half hour run.
But find 10 minutes to make something happen today
Make a positive change to you and your day and your health.
💜You deserve it.

Breathe. Move. Stop. Eat. Drink.

🎂 This is 9 for my littlest love. I bake the cake. In the number they turn. They pick what they want it decorated as. This year was a bit of a spanner, but we planned together and she decorated it all herself.
