What do all these skins have in common?
Their barrier has been impaired by DERMAPLANING.
This may seem like an innocent exercise but, IT'S NOT.
So many clients recently have come to us with breakout they can't explain, as soon as I touch their face I can feel the rough, (sort of stubly to be honest) skin and I know straight away what the main problem is. It is only when clients start to do the math on the timeframe that it suddenly makes sense.
Dermaplaning, especially when done at home, is slowly taking away your skins roof, your protective layer, your layer that holds all it's goodness in, all the badness out, the layer that communicates important messages to the deeper layers.. why are we not protecting that at all costs?
Many clients tell me they want to stop, but now they can't, because it has become an addiction.
For the sake of "make up sitting better", let's not. Why not aim for a skin that doesn't even need make up to look good?
Facial fluff is COMPLETELY NORMAL, when did normal not become normal anymore? Was it when TikTok told us it wasn't?
