In Reiki there are the 5 Precepts, which are the root of what has become The System of Reiki.
We start off with Kyo dake wa - for today only. Once I got my head around that it became so helpful, for today only.

Kyo dake wa

For today only
Do not anger

Tadao Yamaguchi writes 'anger rises from many places and even when it seems justified there are often egoistic motives involved at a deeper level.'

So I find myself driving to our local shopping centre and often going to the same car park, the shop I want to get to is closer at that end. So when I come across drivers going the wrong way when the arrows are clearly marked in the other direction or entering the undercover car park with half the entrance blocked and a large red sign DO NOT ENTER, they still go in. Yes, I get very angry and find myself not only shouting but swearing, and yes I do need to find another place to park and just walk the extra distance and let go of the ego.

going to the spring meadows
to pick the young greens.
It snowed all day yesterday
