Lovely words here. “The body speaks before the mind, if we listen…”

🌿We can learn so much about our emotions through the signs our body gives us.

We can feel anger or embarrassment coming as our inner thermometer rises. We can hear how alien and strained our voice often sounds when on the defensive.

🌿We can use our mind to help calm our body, and use our body to calm our mind, especially through the breath. We can connect with nature through our feet as we walk, which, in turn, helps us connect with our own inner nature.

I think it is no coincidence that good diet and exercise are so often prescribed for mild depression or anxiety. Our healthy body can do much to help our inner mindfulness, bringing both into balance.
