Our psychologists and counsellors can help you understand these issues and how they may impact your relationships and access to healthcare.

Our services are trauma-informed and client-centred, and we offer in-person and telehealth services across WA.

We are a low-cost service and psychology appointments are bulk-billed with a current GP referral and mental health care plan.

To protect yourself and prevent cervical cancer, thereโ€™s more choice than ever before:

1. One (1) dose of the HPV vaccine free for all young people under 25 years if you missed your chance at school age.

2. Cervical screening tests every five (5) years for women and those with a cervix from age 25โ€“74 years.

3. Choose Your Screening Method There are choices:
a. Have your doctor or nurse perform a cervical screening test
b. Self-Collection โ€“ talk to your doctor or nurse about choosing to collect your sample yourself.

We are providing FREE self-swab Cervical Screening Tests at WA Pride Fair Day! Drop past the ACON/SHQ stalls at Supreme Court Gardens on the 23rd of November.

Appointments are open for SHQโ€™s Sexual Wellbeing in Menopause clinic.

Menopause can affect all aspects of your life, particularly physical and mental health as well as self-esteem and relationships, but you donโ€™t have to deal with it alone.

Using the Shared Care Model, our multidisciplinary team of clinicians and counsellors will work in collaboration with your GP to explore options to manage and treat menopausal symptoms, provide menopause support and s*xual and reproductive healthcare catered to your individual needs.

Our services include:
๐Ÿ”ธ Symptom relief (hot flushes, night sweats, sleep, s*xual wellness, weight issues, period problems, mood and memory issues)
๐Ÿ”ธ Menopausal hormone therapy (MHT)
๐Ÿ”ธ Sexual health and wellbeing counselling
๐Ÿ”ธ Individualised care
๐Ÿ”ธ Perimenopause
๐Ÿ”ธ PMS/PMDD
๐Ÿ”ธ Associated care (contraception inc. IUD insertions, genitourinary care, vulval disorders).

No referral required. For clients with a valid Medicare Card, appointments incur a $55 gap fee.

This live webinar builds the skills and knowledge to develop language and communication strategies to create a safe and positive environment for patients in a s*xual health consultation.

Participants completing this module will also build skills in:
โ€ข Discussing the benefits and disadvantages of current methods of contraception.
โ€ข Understanding the barriers to accessing contraception.
โ€ข Discussing contraception choices with patients of all ages.
โ€ข Dispelling myths around non-proper/ineffective methods of contraception.
โ€ข Understanding the efficacy of different methods of contraception.
โ€ข Undertaking unintended pregnancy discussions with patients.

The module has previously only been available as part of SHQโ€™s Certificate in Sexual and Reproductive Health course, but we have opened enrolments in response to increasing demand for IUD and contraceptive implant training.

Anyone aged 18 and under or with a government concession or health care card will be bulk billed for doctor consultations and pay no out-of-pocket cost for reproductive and s*xual health nurse consultations. In order to bulk bill an appointment its best to bring a Medicare card, but if you canโ€™t get one, we may be able to help with that too.

The staff at our clinic specialise in s*xual health โ€“ this means that all day, every day theyโ€™re helping people with s*xual health matters, so they are great at making you feel relaxed and safe to talk about any issues or concerns.
