From Victoria to WA, and straight into our hearts ✈️

This week we welcomed the Popple family to our Jandakot base. After selling their home and travelling Australia for 18 months, sisters Madeline and Amelia are raising funds for the RFDS WA by selling handmade jewellery in caravan parks along the way.

They’ve already raised $1,500 - with more creations still to come. Thank you, Maddy and Amelia, for your generosity and kindness 💙❤️

Great news for the Mid West and Gascoyne region!

Today the State Government announced $7.5 million in funding to help the Royal Flying Doctor Service establish a new base in Geraldton.

Geraldton is our busiest location for patient transfers, with two to three people retrieved every day. A local base will strengthen our ability to respond quickly and ensure communities across the region continue to receive the care they need, when they need it.

We’re grateful for this investment and look forward to working with the Government, the City of Greater Geraldton and our local partners as planning progresses. Importantly, there will be no reduction in services for Meekatharra and surrounding communities during the transition.

Thank you to everyone in the Mid West and Gascoyne region who has shared their insights and supported this important step forward.

What a great weekend at the Saint Barbara's Festival Parade in Kalgoorlie-Boulder! ✨

A big thank you to Northern Star WA Operations and Europcar WA for joining in and showing their incredible support to the RFDS WA.

A special shout-out to Northern Star for creating “Flynny” - the CAT 793NG tray honouring the RFDS founder John Flynn and celebrating our RFDS Goldfields Health Centre.

Northern Star and Europcar brought huge energy with staff and families joining in the parade, and also teaming up with our Kalgoorlie RFDS crew for a brilliant joint float.

Thank you to everyone who cheered us on and helped celebrate the amazing community spirit of the Goldfields ❤️💙
