We also offer mentored workshop contexts for young people and adults to explore contemporary issues that intersect with mental health, social anxiety and diversity in safe and inspiring ways. Her critically acclaimed play Fragmented was awarded an honorable mention for the 2005/06 Larry Corse Award, United States, and went on to be nominated best new play in Western Australia’s 2007 Equity Guild Awards, as well as winning a 2007 Blue Room Award. She has been a KSP Writers Centre writer-in-residence in 2010 and the 2011/2012 William Evans Playwriting Fellow at Otago University in Dunedin, New Zealand where she dramaturged and directed a new verbatim work Wom!n in My Life for the 2012 Dunedin Fringe Festival and wrote a new text-based play Breathe Out and I Breathe You In. Gemma Cavoli - Gemma graduated from the Victorian College of the Arts in 2006. Since then, she has performed in Criminology (Malthouse), Girl Who Cried Wolf (Arena Theatre Company) and has been involved in various creative developments in Perth and Melbourne. She was the recipient of an Ian Potter Cultural Trust grant to study Commedia dell'arte in Italy (2009), and upon returning to Perth, has performed with ECU, the Australian Writer's Festival and collaborated on a short film with Alucinor Productions. Cathie Travers - Diverse, passionate, groundbreaking, eclectic, Cathie's professional life has taken her across the spectrum of music, roaming from rock to classical, from the avant garde to the tango, from esoteric electronica to electro-acoustic jazz, gypsy and folk, with many other stops, ethnicities and adventures along the way. Her performance work has been featured in major arts and music festivals across Australia - Sydney Festival and Mardi Gras, Perth, Melbourne, Hobart, Canberra, Adelaide and Fairbridge - and in concerts and festivals around the world: Torronto, New York, London, Edinburgh, Boston, Los Angeles, Malaysia, Thailand and Japan. She has created a significant body of original work which has appeared in Australian and international TV and radio broadcasts, dance works, theatre, concerts and films. Roly Skender - Roly is an established audiovisual artist, producer and musician in Perth, whose work focuses on the interplay of sound and vision, mixing old and new technologies. Over 15 years he has worked on countless productions, including for Perth Theatre Company, Black Swan State Theatre Company, Buzz Dance, Awesome Arts Festival, WA Symphony Orchestra, The Festival of Perth and WA Music Industry Association. His current focus is on visual design for theatre and the arts, while continuing to break new ground in other mediums, including music and creative coding for interactive software projects. www.frankensound.com.au
