My name is Amanda Kate and I have a passion for health and fitness, and the benefits (both physically and mentally) exercise has on the female body.
I was born and raised in Perth, WA and graduated from Curtin University in 2004 with a Double Major in Marketing and Public Relations. Whilst pursing my career in marketing and events I found I needed an outlet to release the stress of my professional job. I developed a passion for fitness and became addicted to the amazing feeling after smashing out a solid fitness session.
Dietary requirements have never been straight forward for me and as intolerances become more and more common today, a lot of us are challenged with what food we can and can’t eat. The day my dietitian put me on FODMAPs was one very happy day! No more pains and bloating! Keep posted for all my tips and tricks - enjoy your favourite meals, even if you have a long list of intolerances like me.
In 2017 I was fortunately to marry my partner of ten years. I put a lot of pressure on myself for everything to be perfect and as a sufferer of mental health, this was when my stress could have been as worse than ever. Through a disciplined diet and my pre-wedding boxing program, I was not only amazed by the transformation my body made physically, but also the benefits it made with my mental health. No medication required.
