T H R E E very happy skiers. ⛷️ One very envious snowboarder 🏂 on the side line.. Day 1 on the slopes for the family in Queenstown and another day on the side line for me after a hyper extended elbow in Lake Tekapo. 🤦🏼♀️ I don’t do ‘just relax and watch on’ well but I have to say watching the kids learn to ski for the very time was one of the cutest parenting moments ever 🐧🐧
I can confirm I won’t be taking up ice skating! 🤕 This injury is painful. Any suggestions on recovery, please share!

My name is Amanda Kate and I have a passion for health and fitness, and the benefits (both physically and mentally) exercise has on the female body.
I was born and raised in Perth, WA and graduated from Curtin University in 2004 with a Double Major in Marketing and Public Relations. Whilst pursing my career in marketing and events I found I needed an outlet to release the stress of my professional job. I developed a passion for fitness and became addicted to the amazing feeling after smashing out a solid fitness session.
Dietary requirements have never been straight forward for me and as intolerances become more and more common today, a lot of us are challenged with what food we can and can’t eat. The day my dietitian put me on FODMAPs was one very happy day! No more pains and bloating! Keep posted for all my tips and tricks - enjoy your favourite meals, even if you have a long list of intolerances like me.
In 2017 I was fortunately to marry my partner of ten years. I put a lot of pressure on myself for everything to be perfect and as a sufferer of mental health, this was when my stress could have been as worse than ever. Through a disciplined diet and my pre-wedding boxing program, I was not only amazed by the transformation my body made physically, but also the benefits it made with my mental health. No medication required.
In 2019 I decided to take the daunting leap from full-time corporate wear to full-time activewear and pursue a career I am not only passionate about but where I can help energise and motivate other females on their own personal journeys.
This is when Amanda Kate was born.
I am so excited to continue my wellness journey, keep on trend with the fitness lifestyle, and connect with my community of motivated ladies.
I currently run a mixture of 1:1, small group and bootcamp training sessions so there is a workout for all ladies.
If you’re feeling unmotivated, want a personalised workout or need that push to see results a 1:1 PT session would be ideal. If you would prefer to be in a group/ social environment my AK BOOTCAMP may be more suited - a mixture of circuit, strength and boxing training - held on Thursday 5.30pm and Saturday 8am at South Perth Foreshore.
I have also recently launched a new ‘MUMS + BUBS + BUMPS OUTDOOR GROUP WORKOUT’ on Tuesday 9.30am at Tompkins Park for all mums, no matter where they are in their motherhood journey. This workout is designed to be low impact, pelvic floor friendly, working to gain your fitness, strength and tone. I am extra passionate this class, being a mumma-to-be myself due on Boxing Day, December 2019.
