There’s something about being at the Buddha’s Birthday Festival each year that reminds me why I practise — and why I teach.
The calm.
The kindness.
The sense that we can move through the world with a little more steadiness than before.

Meditation has taught me that peace isn’t something we “achieve”; it’s something we return to, again and again, breath by breath. My classes each week are simply an invitation back to that place — a space to soften, to listen inward, and to reconnect with what’s already here.

Whether you come for movement, stillness, sound, or simply a moment to breathe, you’re welcome exactly as you are.

Still recovering, but ready to return to all my classes this week — with a slight shift.

I’m stepping away from Saturday studio classes to make room for my Yoga Therapy studies, practicum hours, and the programs I’m developing.
Laura will be taking over the Monday 6am Vinyasa class at Sista Fitness from next week so I can create a bit more balance 🙏

🌟Free Community Yoga at Dhammaloka🌟

I’m grateful to be volunteering with the Buddhist Society of WA to offer a gentle community yoga class this month. These sessions are a chance to slow down, breathe, and reconnect with your body in a calm, supportive space.

The class is open to everyone — no experience needed. We’ll move mindfully, honour our own pace, and create a little pocket of stillness together.

✨ Third and final weekend complete ✨
Completing the Mind–Body Wellness Yoga Therapy module feels like a moment of deep integration. This final weekend reinforced that yoga is not defined by how much we move, but by how well we listen — to the body, the breath, and the moment we’re in.

As I return this week to teaching some of my classes, there will be less physical demonstration, intentionally creating space for people to learn in a different way. A practice rooted in awareness, choice, and nervous system support — while I continue to prioritise my own health and recovery.

There’s something about this upside‑down moment that reflects my own world right now — life throws you curveballs sometimes and learning to surrender to what is. Healing has its own gravity, its own rhythm, and I’m learning to let myself be held by it rather than push against it.

A little reminder for your week:

Your nervous system loves consistency more than intensity.
Choose one supportive thing today — a 3‑minute stretch, a cup of tea in silence, a breath that’s longer on the exhale — and let that be your anchor.

I’ve been practicing yoga and meditation for 20 years, slowly weaving together the threads that now shape the way I support others.

In my 20s I qualified & worked as a Personal Trainer, learning how the body moves, adapts and heals. I didn’t know it then, but everything since has been guiding me toward Yoga Therapy.

Continuing my journey, I’ve trained in — and worked deeply with —
✨ Reiki Master
🍃 Nutrition coaching (2 years full‑time study)
🕉 Meditation & Breathwork
🧘‍♀️ Yoga teaching (350hrs+)
💚 Trauma‑sensitive, therapeutic approaches
🎶 Sound healing with singing bowls & vibrational tools
📚 Buddhist study & practice for 15+ years

My Buddhist practice quietly informs the way I hold space — with compassion, presence, non‑harm and deep respect for each person’s lived experience.

All of these modalities now come together as I continue my C‑IAYT Yoga Therapy training, supporting myself and others in a way that honours the whole person — body, mind, nervous system and spirit.

These practices aren’t separate threads anymore — they’ve become one woven path. A way of holding space that is gentle, therapeutic and deeply human. My intention is simply to share what I’ve learned, and to support others in finding steadiness, clarity and connection within themselves.

I’ve never really shared the full picture of my training, and it feels like the right time to honour the path that brought me here 🙌
