Healing is rarely linear. It’s a layered, evolving process shaped by your body, mind, environment, and lived experience. Some days feel heavier, but every mindful step — every breath that softens the edges — is part of your movement toward wellness.

🌿 Presence
Healing begins in the smallest moments of awareness. Notice your breath, your posture, the way your body softens when you let it. Presence is a practice, not a performance.

🌱 Self‑compassion
Speak to yourself with the same gentleness you offer others. Healing deepens when you meet yourself with patience instead of pressure.

🌸 Regulation
Let your exhale be a little longer today. A slow, steady release tells your nervous system it’s safe to settle.

🌙 Rest
Rest is part of the work. Your body integrates, restores, and recalibrates when you allow yourself to pause without guilt.

🌾 Embodiment
Come back into your body for a moment. Feel your feet, your spine, your breath. Let this simple act anchor you.

I’m taking a short pause from offerings, starting Monday 2 March and I'll be back on Tuesday 10 March.

This weekend was also the first step into my Mind Body Wellness Yoga Therapy module. It’s already opening new layers of understanding around therapeutic communication, yogic models of health, and the subtle art of truly seeing and supporting someone. I can’t wait to weave these teachings into the way I hold space.

While I’m away, here’s a simple practice to support your week:

Softening Breath (3 minutes)

- Sit comfortably and let your shoulders drop.

- Inhale through your nose for a slow count of four, letting the belly soften.

- Exhale for a count of six, feeling the body release.

- Repeat, letting the longer exhale signal safety and steadiness to your nervous system.

A tiny practice you can return to anytime things feel full, fast, or a little scattered.

I’ll see you when I’m back, with fresh energy and a full heart.

I’ve stepped back into my Yoga Therapy studies this year, continuing the journey I began last year with Wisdom Yoga Institute
This weekend marked the start of the Mind Body Wellness module — a deep dive into the heart of therapeutic yoga and the many ways it can support real people in real life.

Over the next few weeks I’ll be exploring: • the foundations and scope of Yoga Therapy • the therapeutic relationship and ethical practice • yogic and ayurvedic approaches to wellbeing • communication skills that centre presence, listening and agency • holistic assessment models and wellness coaching • the therapeutic application of asana, pranayama, mantra, mudra and more.

I’m excited to keep growing my capacity to support individuals in a way that is evidence‑informed, compassionate and deeply person‑centred.
It’s a privilege to keep learning in this field and to weave these teachings into the way I support my community. Yoga Therapy is such a powerful bridge between ancient wisdom and modern wellbeing, and I’m grateful to be on this path.

Aparigraha — Non‑Grasping

Last week’s theme was Aparigraha — the gentle art of releasing what we’re holding too tightly.  

In yoga, it’s the invitation to soften our grip on expectations, outcomes, and old stories that no longer support who we’re becoming.

In practice, it looks like:  

• letting the breath move without forcing  

• allowing the body to choose its own pace  

• trusting that we don’t need to control every moment to feel safe  

Aparigraha reminds us that spaciousness is a form of nourishment.  

When we loosen our grip, we make room for clarity, ease, and the quiet wisdom of the present moment.

This week, I’ve been thinking about how often we move through life on autopilot — rushing, reacting, holding tension we don’t even realise we’re carrying. Our bodies whisper long before they shout, and sometimes the most supportive thing we can do is pause long enough to listen. My classes this week are all about creating small pockets of space: space to breathe, space to soften, space to reconnect with the part of you that knows how to settle. This week in class we explored Brahmacharya — the gentle art of using our energy with intention. Not restriction, but noticing what nourishes us, what drains us, and choosing with awareness.

In practice, this looks like:
• honouring your capacity
• pausing before saying yes
• noticing where your attention goes
• choosing rest without guilt
• moving in ways that support your nervous system

On the mat we played with pacing, breath and mindful transitions — not to conserve energy, but to use it wisely. Off the mat, Brahmacharya becomes a quiet reminder: your energy is precious. Spend it where it matters.
