People often fail to recognise their potential and worth.
Everyone shines in some way and we get joy out of maximising our better aspects.
Whether it's wellness, appearance, happiness or any other goal you have there may be a bit of work and refinement required for you to be at your best.
However, many things are possible if you tackle them in the right way.
Start with what's easiest, what's most important or whatever inspires you right now and do something for yourself!

The Non-Surgical Symposium at the Gold Coast exhibition centre started with a bold and inspiring talk from Robert de Castella (Deeks), marathon runner and gold medalist.

I'm sure the beautiful personal stories he told and the historical insights he provided resonated differently with different people, but my take on it was threefold.

Deeks told us that if there was something good we could do, we should DO IT NOW. I will continue my quest to promote education and compliance in cosmetic medicine.

He told us about his experience in the Canberra fires, and reminded us that stuff was only stuff. He explained how he could rebuild because of family and friends. I pondered the fact that trauma is inescapable in life and we need each other to get through it.

I understand that we can only promote resilience in everyone and be there for people who need us.

I had the privilege to attend another brilliant vascular conference organized by Australia's most knowledgeable phlebologists.
Every year there is groundbreaking information about the vascular system, which of course connects everything in the body to everything else!
As well as our own Aussie and New Zealand experts we had the pleasure of hearing from multiple international speakers and also our upcoming phlebology registrars and their excellent research.

Working on a Sunday doesn't seem like a chore in this peaceful environment with my "emotional support cat" (yes I know that's an oxymoron) in the perfect Perth autumn weather. Even better that I am researching the fascinating topic of mesotherapy for a presentation and finding interesting details. You never ever stop learning and teaching others is the best way to get a subject to make complete sense in your own head.
