We are excited to be working with the ReadingDoctor® Team this year to trial this exemplary program with some of our students. We are particularly buoyed by the research conducted by the team at Flinders University who found that, "Children who used ReadingDoctor® made strong improvements in their letter-sound knowledge. The program had a large positive effect on learning, beyond natural development over time.”

Today is Apraxia Awareness Day!

Childhood Apraxia of Speech (CAS) is a motor speech disorder that impacts an individual's ability to plan and coordinate the movements needed for clear speech. While they know what they want to say, their brain struggles to send the right signals and motor plans to their muscles.

Speech pathologists can support children with CAS to be confident communicators.

Last term, Michelle & Jess flew up to Useless Loop to conduct assessments and provide intervention to some of the students at Useless Loop Primary School. They were able to collaborate with the wonderful teaching staff and parents; sharing resources and ideas for ways to support speech and language skills. Thank you so much to the amazing community in Useless Loop for warmly welcoming and showing Michelle and Jess around!

🐰 Happy Easter from all of us at Freo Speech! 🐰
We hope everyone has a happy and safe long weekend.

Our clinic will be closed from Friday 4th of April and will re-open on Tuesday the 7th of April.

Our lovely reception team will be working reduced hours over the school holidays, but phone calls and emails will be monitored and responded to as soon as possible.
