Most people today are in a constant state of low-grade inflammation, driven largely by poor diet and lifestyle.

One of the biggest culprits is the imbalance between omega-6 and omega-3 fatty acids.

Modern diets are overloaded with omega-6 fats from processed foods, seed oils, and grain-fed meats, while being severely lacking in omega-3s from sources like wild fish, grass-fed meats, and nuts & seeds.

This imbalanced ratio in favour of the pro-inflammatory omega-6 fatty acids fuels inflammation, disrupts cellular health, and sets the stage for chronic issues like joint pain, weight gain, cardiovascular disease, and even cognitive decline.

Restoring balance by reducing excessive omega-6 intake and boosting omega-3 consumption is vital for calming inflammation, supporting recovery, and protecting long-term health.

The health of the immune system and cellular health are vital for true transformations and longevity in the weight room.

When your cells are nourished and your immune system is strong, your body has the foundation it needs to repair, regenerate, and perform at its best.

The 90° back extension is a vital exercise for maintaining lower back health as we age because it strengthens the erector spinae, glutes, and hamstrings, which work together to stabilise the spine..

As we get older, posterior chain strength naturally declines, leading to poor posture, reduced spinal support, and a higher risk of neck and back issues.

This movement trains proper hip hinging mechanics, improves lower back endurance, and enhances circulation to the lower back, all of which help keep the spine resilient.

By regularly performing controlled back extensions, we counteract the negative effects of prolonged sitting, prevent muscular imbalances, and maintain a strong, healthy lower back that supports overall mobility and quality of life.
