For those of you who have not been following our journey,we have two beautiful 5 year old twin boys Brock & Logan, who were born prematurely @ 30 weeks.
We found out at our 20 week scan that Logan had a severe case of Hydrocephalus (fluid on the brain) and Scoliosis and the prognosis at the time was pretty grim.
The boys arrived 10 weeks prematurely Logan weighed 1234grams and Brock 1450grams. Logan was pronounced “palliative” at birth and he was sent back to the room with us - we were told that he would not survive the night. Brock was whisked off to the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit.
My first 24 hours with Logan was spend providing “kangaroo care” to him. Unbelievably, our little warrior not only survived his first night (with no oxygen or special care), but he was transferred to the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit the following morning to be with his brother, where they spend the next 11 weeks fighting for their life.
