My Pink eye / Pink moon story
After working all weekend, I returned home Sunday evening, weary but unaware that a more immediate challenge awaited me—a sudden and painfully intense stye, also known as pink eye.

Typically, I turn to my trusted essential oils and clays for natural healing. Unfortunately, my home collection had been neglected due to my extensive hours at work, where I keep most of my oil stocks. Ideally, I would have used Sandalwood or Amyris oil, along with either Tea Tree or Fragonia, in warm water for a soothing eye bath. However, I found myself limited to Geranium oil. Although effective, it proved a little potent for the sensitive eye area.

I then applied French green clay across the entire eye socket. While it was uncomfortable to cover the whole eye, the clay provided significant relief from the stye’s discomfort after the first application. I continued this treatment four to five further times over the next 48 hours.

By Wednesday morning, after the Pink Moon cast its serene glow, I gently wiped away the last residues of the stye. To my relief, there was no pain or vision distortion. Despite the limitations with my choice of essential oil, the French green clay was incredibly effective and I did not need to continue with the clay eye treatment that I was going to prepare with my fresh moon water.
