🌟📢🙋🏻‍♀️ Carinya has released new informative documents for Clients, Representatives and Visitors; a revitalised Feedback Form, a new GP Services brochure, and a Restraint Decision Making Information brochure.
The new brochures are located in the foyer and are also available at Reception. Please take one on your next visit. We would love to receive your feedback 🌟👍

At Carinya Care, we encourage Clients,Representatives, Staff and others to contribute to Continuous Improvement! 🎁🎁Feedback Forms are a great way to do this. Once received, we then add these opportunities to our Continuous Improvement Plan and action them.

Today marks the commencement of the new national Aged Care Quality Standards which apply to all aged care settings including residential, transition care and and in-home aged care services.
The new standards complement the single Charter of Aged Care Rights, which also comes into effect from today to support the rights of all people receiving aged care services. The Aged Care Quality and Safety Commission begins monitoring and assessing provider performance against the Aged Care Quality Standards from 1 July 2019.

Information on the new standards are available on the Commission website www.agedcarequality.gov.au.

Emma has been with Carinya Care Services for 4 weeks now and is loving every minute!

👩‍🎓A bit about Emma: A passionate values-based leader, Emma brings over 25 years’ experience in the healthcare and aged care industry. Emma’s knowledge and passion has driven her to successfully lead healthcare teams to achieve efficient and effective results for sustainable and optimal client outcomes. Achieving this by working closely with, providing support and empowering staff to deliver exceptional and compassionate care.
Emma has a wealth of practiced knowledge and a sound background in healthcare both in Australia and the UK across for profit and not for profit organisations. Her expertise includes clinical governance, quality assurance and risk management, education, human resources, business development, relationship management and operational and strategic project delivery.
Previously undertaking a variety of senior management roles, Emma was also a registered Quality Assessor for 10 years working for the Department of Health, undertaking quality assessment audits of aged care services across Western Australia. Emma has also independently consulted as an industry consultant to several aged care operators initiating key improvements to ensure a high level of quality and consumer focused care delivery.
👩‍🦰🌺Emma’s warm personality, sound knowledge base of regulatory compliance and experience of reviewing and auditing healthcare business systems, and advising on and implementing solutions, has been a fundamental component of her professional success.
Emma holds a Bachelor of Science Honours Degree in Professional Nursing Studies, an Advanced Diploma of Higher Education in Nursing as a Registered Nurse, and holds additional qualifications in Business and Legal Studies, Quality Management, Operational Management and Strategic Management. Emma is also a certified International Standards Organisation (ISO) Lead Auditor and holds quality certification with the Registrar Accreditation Board Quality Society of Australasia (RABSQA).🎊🎊🌠

Carinya Care Services will be supporting the Cancer Council this May 2019 by hosting a Biggest Afternoon Tea for staff! Staff will show their support by wearing pink and making a gold coin donation. Together we can support those impacted by cancer.

The sun is shining bright on this beautiful May Day ready for the annual Mothers Day High Tea at Carinya on Bristol.
We had an amazing turn out of staff and volunteers to make this day special for our residents and families.
A big THANK YOU to everyone that participated in making this day a success.
