We all want what’s best for our little ones because a healthy kid is usually a happy kid!
To give them the greatest start in life we wish to ensure they are receiving everything they need from their dietary intake.
As many parents know, this is not always easy!
There can be hurdles such as changing tastebuds and fussy eating habits.
Poor digestive function may limit the number of nutrients our children are unknowingly absorbing and is also associated with children who are fussier eaters.
For just one example, zinc is required to build healthy stomach acid and to be able to break down important proteins and nutrients.
Zinc deficiency has been associated with poor appetite or attraction to “white foods” or “beige foods” or bread, pasta, crackers, and similar carbohydrates rather than the full spectrum of whole and healthy foods.
Supporting the health of your child’s digestive system is not just important for kids who are prone to illness or upset tummies, we want our children to be attracted to a wide variety of foods and to absorb the wonderful nutrients they are eating.
There are blood tests and non-invasive stool and urine testing available to check our young patients’ mineral levels and certain vitamin levels.
Support your children to be the happy, healthy child you hope for them to be!
